Q: Are the keys loud when pressed? I currently have the ornata and would like something quieter

All mechanical keyboards are going to make some noise. The Ortana is typical of the market in that it's quieter but it's also a defective mechanical design. All keys that are clones of the Cherry MX design suffer from a flaw in that the key has no cushion internally at the very bottom and so often when you overcome the spring to activate it, you bottom out the key. This bottoming out is what causes muscle strain and injury over time. Membrane keyboards by design require you to bottom out as well as the contacts are on the bottom of the key. Old electric typewriter and mechanical designs from the 80s had springs at the bottom to keep you from ever bottoming out OR required a tiny press to activate with a huge spring area underneath. This makes more noise than some, but it also does not require you to press all the way down to activate it. So it is similar to mechanical keyboards from 20 or so years ago and won't cause repetitive strain due to a better design where you tap a tiny bit to activate it versus pressing it down with a hard break-point/motion that has nothing beneath it. If you want a quieter click AND a mechanical design of this quality, the only other option that fixes it all is the Matias. Which is a clone of the older superior Alps mechanisms. But it's also $220. NOTE - Back in 2000, we routinely spent $150-$200 for a quality mechanical keyboard. Nothing that will keep you from getting carpal tunnel is inexpensive. It never was.

Q: Where can i download the software for my mac?

This is a Windows dedicated keyboard under US numeric layout. An easy way to differentiate a Windows Keyboard to a Macintosh one is by looking on the keyboard layout at the command keys, windows keyboards will have a windows key and CTRL, macintosh will have a command key. Therefore I do not believe RAZER's software will be available on MAC-OS. Due to it being geared towards Windows PC gamers.

Q: Can I turn off the light on the keyboard?

Using the function keys you can change the brightness of the lights, or turn them off entirely. You don’t need Synapse to do this.

Q: Is this keyboard easy to clean?

I blow mine out with a fairly powerful air compressor that has a condenser that remove water from the air. Works well.
