Yuneec Q500 Typhoon UAV Pilot Simulator Wi-Fi USB Stick for PC Software Dongle

Okay, first I have a Yuneec Typhoon H+ and this still works. The software to use it is a free download from Yuneec's web site. It connects without issue (okay it does require a sync on the controller and maybe a reboot after install), basically plug and play.Now if I were to review the software I would say that all the controls work just like they would on the Drone. You have a choice of 3 Yuneec Drones if I recall correctly, and at least the Typhoon flys just like its real counterpart. The flying area for practice is very limited, basically an open field with trees as a boundary. The camera on the Drone does not work (in the simulator), so you can't really get the full grasp of using the Drone in real life, but it does fly well. I spent about an hour or so using it the other day and will say that it works well. I would recommend it to any new pilots or to anyone that wants to get some stick time in the winter when the weather is bad. My plan is to use it to get use to the feel of the drone before going out an flying the real thing since it has been a few years since I have flown any kind of R/C type aircraft. I think it is worth it.

I bought the dongle, downloaded the software, I bound it to my ST10+ transmitter, and followed the on screen instructions. Since I have watched several videos about the Q500+ I felt confident right out of the gate. It has very realistic scenery, I wish there had been other scenes to fly in, but maybe it will be added in the future. The in-box hover exercises included in the UAV Pilot software are a great way to sharpen your skills without breaking the aircraft. Wind speeds can be adjusted and do affect the flying of the simulator. The non-GPS mode is really fast! A great investment for any Q500 owner!

It took several tries to synch this dongle with my Yuneec controller. No errors or signs of trouble, it just didn't work the first few times. But then suddenly it synched and has worked flawlessly ever since. Although technically not included with this adapter, the needed (and free) simulator software is very nice. It realistically simulates the flight of the Q500 under various wind and flight settings but I do wish there were more simulator locations available. Overall, I think this should be considered a must have accessory for most Q500 owners.

Its just ok after 10mins it gets boring. Also you have to rebind your ST10 back to your Q5004k each time you go to use it, including another round of calibrations.Now for a newbie with no quadcopter flight experience its a great product to learn on and very realistic. That is what it is designed for, nothing more.

Didnt work out of the package but I got a full refund from the vendor. Crappy product, great vendor who stands behind their products.

I purchased this to be used with my Typhoon H as I was informed that it was now compatible with the remote that comes with the Typhoon H. Yuneec has also updated the software so that you can fly a simulated Typhoon H with this simulator. I have to say, I was VERY impressed with how realistic and accurate the simulator was! With the Typhoon H remote you can control all of the basic flight functions of the H, including the landing gear. You can even rotate and pan the camera that is on the simulator. And just like the real thing, you can adjust the speed of the H by the joystick as well as the speed dial.TAKING OFF NOTE!One thing that I did have to learn is, in order to take flight, you have to make sure the speed dial is NOT at the slowest setting. This means you will need to push the lever that is on the right side in the front up slightly. You will hear a "beep" when you did this that indicates you are able to take off.Please note that the simulated camera does NOT broadcast any images! The simulator is not designed for that. It's purpose is to provide flight experience and training.There are also 3 Challenges in the simulator that grade your performance and allow you to keep track of your progress. My first attempt at Challenge #1 yielded me a 19%, however, after several tries I reached a high of 89%. Because I am an over achiever, I'm pushing for an A!With this simulator you will DEFINITELY improve your control of your drone. I HIGHLY recommend that anyone who owns a Yuneec drone purchase this!

It does what it is supposed to I guess. But it is extremely limited in it's features. If you enjoy flying around in a field and watching it on your laptop, I guess you would enjoy spending $40 for this.I would rather walk outside and do the same thing.It would be much better if it came with varying environments. Also add some complexity to it like wind. And allow me to use first person mode through my remote. Then I could try to experiment flying with that.Still wouldn't be worth $40 though.It reminds me of something free that should come with a drone to use once and then throw away.

This in invaluable if you have an appropriate Yuneec drone/UAV. It works with the 500 series and the H series. Maybe others, I'm not sure. This dongle plugs into your PC, and you use your Yuneec controller to control the simulated UAV on the PC screen. It's perfect for practicing flying without risking your prized bird. Hone your skills on a PC screen! Great product at a great price.

this is a good simulator useing your own st16 or st16+ controler, connects fine to simulator, video and realise of typhhon h or q500 is good, simulator does not show fpv which should be addded. also functions like follow me .point of interest should be added

Sehr schöner Flugsimulator für Yuneec-Drohnen zum üben oder auch umdie "fluglose" Zeit bei schlechtem Wetter zu überbrücken. Die verschiedeneinstellbaren Schwierigkeitsgrade bei Wind vermitteln durchaus einen rea-listischen Eindruck und verlangen entsprechendes Geschick - also auchfür erfahrene Piloten durchaus geeignet um in Übung zu bleiben.Prinzipiell - vor allem für Anfänger vor dem ersten Flug - sehr zu empfehlen!

Aucune mise a jour du simulateur depuis 2 ans et demi !Simulateur Yuneec UAV Pilot sensé être gratuit mais qui est en faites payant car nécessitant l'achat d'un d'ongle USB pour se lancer !Simulateur extrêmement limité et la clé USB n'est supporté par aucun autre simulateur.Perte de connexion avec le drone après avoir utilisé le simulateur.A n'acheter que si vous avez 50€ à perdre et êtes masochiste ou que vous êtes un fanatique absolu.Aucun intérêt. Produit qui ne devrait pas exister la télécommande étant en Wifi.

El simulador es muy realista, cumple muy bien su función. Pero se echa en falta otros escenarios para hacerlo más variado. Recibido perfectamente.
