I've bought several of these in both shapes and I absolutely love them!! They fit so much more then it looks like. I get such a nice loaf for the 2 of us for the week. But you can also add less and they're an awesome size for gifting to friends and family!!! I like the oval shape also because I like that shape better for sandwiches. After baking, I let it dry out completely, and use a dry brush to brush off any extra rice flour or any dough bits that stuck. Although I've never had my bread stick at all. So, super easy to use and clean. Super nice quality, especially for the price!!! Customer service is SO great! They have been so kind in answering me when I had any questions about loaf size and things.

I've only used once, but so far it works nicely. I used it without the liner (washed and floured well) and had no problems with splinters. It works beautifully using a 400g flour (total 788g) sourdough recipe. The batard is the perfect size for this little dutch oven (link here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F7RW1ZDF?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 ) which produced an 8.5" football shaped loaf with a beautiful 4.5" rise. It's the perfect size lunch loaf for 1-2 people ... about 5-7 sandwiches (depending on thickness of each slice).

I purchase two of these bannetons. They're well built, come with the fabric longer for better function. The shape is perfect for a more traditional looking loaf of bread. I dusted with rice flour to keep my loaves from sticking but the bannetons function exactly as expected. Overall a reasonable value for the money.

Nice size for a 5 quart Dutch oven. A batch of bread using 1000 g of flour makes 2 loaves that fit perfectly in the 2 baskets. The cloth liners are ok but made with cheap fabric. Still worth the price.

I have recently learned to make sourdough bread and a whole loaf is too much for our small household. My regular recipe can make two loaf shaped breads so I needed smaller bannetons to proof the dough. These should be just the right size for two smaller loaves of bread.
