Logitech G27 USB Racing Wheel for PC

The seller shipped it in 2 days I believe it’s been a few years, bought this wheel set and used it for many years now bought in 2013-2026 it still working and have never had anything go wrong. The wheel has stood the time of daily use. The pedals still feel like new there is some wearing on the wheel leather wrap, the feel is the most real I have as a wheel. Setup was easy hooks up to most desks has easy reach buttons the gameplay makes it more enjoyable strong grip if set to high feed back on the wheel motor. Great product for everyday play. Works with almost ever game available that has wheel setup.

I have long thought of Logitech as just some cheap keyboard and mouse company. I currently own the following race wheels, Thrustmaster T500 RS Standard and F1 attachments Fanatec Club Sport Elite Racing wheel with CSR Elite Pedals. Fanatec Porsche 911 Carrera Wheel. I do have an old Driving Force that was given to me but it no longer works and is long retired. This wheel, while not as robust as the Fanatec CSR Elite, definitely has its corner on the market. Even though I read all of the wheel reviews for the G25 and G27 i passed them up year after year in search of something else to finish off my 4th racing sim chair. This year i took the advice of a colleague and dropped the money Amazon was requesting for this wheel. For those of you who have been using logitech wheels in the past that never got a G25 i would like to take the time and tell you all to get off you butt and buy this! I dont care if the game developers ever support it on my PS4, this wheel is a winner. I fired up Gran Turismo 5, Gran Turismo 6, Need for Speed Shift and Nascar Racing : Inside Line. While there are some issues with the clutch in GT5 and GT6 they are probably from poor programming. i find the all of the pedals a little soft for my taste especially the throttle. I have not had any issues with the quality of the force feedback and am please with the quality of the wheeels auto calibration. Most materials are plastic and not of the highest quality but for a wheel in the middle of the price range this is perfect. Novice racers will not doubt want to stay away from raising the rotation past 360 degrees if your game supports it. While i find the stock 270 degrees most games use a little narrow i recommend everyone lover the sensitivity to get a full range of motion. I dont have any issues with the shifter, not not even a complaint that its not sequential, as most cars that are build as true sports cars have paddle shifters for the semi-auto and manual modes. those of you who have a automatic with a +/- stick i feel for you but please learn to use paddle shifters. All things considered i give this wheel a 5 star Rating. While it is NOT what I am used to i cant realistically fault this wheel for not being the same quality and performance rich as my $1200 main wheel. If you are new to racing, as casual gamer or even an old school enthusiast you will love this wheel.

This is a good quality wheel. Overall I would definitely give it five out of five stars. But it is not perfect and there are some idiosyncratic aspects that I have encountered. I bought this wheel to play GT5, and Midnight Club LA and similar car simulation, driving and racing games on the PS3. It works for PC too but I haven't tried that yet. Quirky things I have noticed: *Whenever I first power up the PS3 the G27 does a full calibration by turning all the way to the right and then all the way to the left and then turning back to the right until it centers... but when I start a game (for example GT5) it does the calibration again... but this time it doesn't center... it ends up slightly slanted or crooked. Also, maybe its just my wheel but when the GT5 starts and it first starts to turn to the right to do the calibration thing it "shutters/stutters"... the rpm lights and the turning motion momentarily freezes and "shutters/stutters" during calibration, but only when it is turning to the right... and this only happens as GT5 loads, it doesn't happen during the initial calibration when PS3 first powers on.... *The G27 claims to have a "push down" reversible gear. But I could never get the G27 to reverse with the gears. Also the whole thing can not be "pushed down"... so I don't understand what they mean by a "push down" reverse-able gear... you can NOT push the snifter down at all! There is no way to reverse the car using the shifter/gear because it won't even have the grooves to let you put it in reverse! The diagram on the shifter is not how it actually is... I can put the gear in 1, 2, 3, 4, and yes even 5... but the reverse does not work! It seems to be a fake position that doesn't even exists on the G27 *It took me a while to figure out that G27 has to be put as controller #1 in order for it to be recognized and work in games like Midnight Club LA. On the Logitech website they list both the GT5 and Midnight Club LA as fully compatible with the G27 out of the box. This is not entirely true. It is not actually plug and play. At first I thought I got a bad/dud G27 until I had to Google for tech support online and came across forums that said you must put the G27 as controller 1 because it will be recognized in the game... but the thing is if G27 is in controller 1 spot, the ps3 controller itself no longers works in the game, even when I put it on controller 2.... what ends up happening is the ps3 controller becomes useless inside the game itself, meaning I have to use the buttons on the shifter/gear in order to navigate the menus and such in the game... This is annoying and a MAJOR hassle. *For the Midnight Club LA the G27 wheel is WAY too sensitive and over-corrects too too too much. This makes it almost impossible to accurately and enjoyably play. In GT5 there is option to adjust sensitivity of G27, but in Midnight Club LA you are SOL... Of course on the PC you have the drivers and software and can do what you want with the wheel, but for PS3 it is locked down and especially for games and titles like Midnight Club LA the G27 sensitivity makes it useless and it can't be adjusted. *The "real leather" on the wheel feels fake. I'm not saying it is not real leather... it just subjectively feel like synthetic leather... this is not exactly the kind of leather you find in a Lexus or anything... *There are too many wires with this setup... it is a mess and easily you can trip over yourself or worse someone trips it over and damages your G27... it makes it worse that the wires are so short... if you have a large TV and want to sit back a bit from the TV you run the chance of accidentally pulling the wires out.... not good... *You really need to get a playseat or similar item for this G27 .. that will end up costing you more than the G27 itself. The attachment devices that comes with the wheel and gear is cheap quality plastic and cannot secure anything at all... I tried to secure it to my table/stand only to have the whole wheel free fall to the carpeted ground 4 feet below... cause the darn plastic attachor thing came unhooked and loose... the wheel is very heavy, so even a free fall of 4 feet could permanently damage it... I'm not sure if mine sustained mechanical damage or not... I ordered playseat with this device but the device came sooner than the seat... so I had tried to mount it to a table but really it doesn't work well at all.... * There is no way to turn off the force feedback in GT5 for the G27. In the options I know it seems like you can turn it off... but in actual races when you hit something or run into rough ground the force feedback comes into full swing.... it is annoying, and it is powerful force feedback that makes you lose control.... especially when you are already drifting and trying to countersteer, the force feedback will make matters worse and cause you to lose concentration and then crash you on purpose.... In GT5 there is NO way to turn force feedback off! This means if you drive on the dirt road it will be impossible to maintain control, might as well use a ps3 controller...

This wheel has genuinely exceeded my expectations. Awesome built quality, I can tell this thing will take a beating over the years and there zero play in the wheel itself when you try to wiggle it; rock solid. The smell of the leather on the wheel literally exudes with the aroma of quality, love it. My first run with this wheel was with F1 2013 and had no luck getting the force feedback to work as I could not get the software from Logitech web site to open. After some days of frustration I finally called Logitech customer support and he quickly emailed me an updated game controller and it worked! They had been having problems with the previous version of the software on 64 bit windows. So...just a heads up, you will need to call Logitech at the date of this review to get the new version of the game controller in order to get force feedback in your games. UPDATE: 1 year later. The wheel has held up very well and remained solid, no play whatsoever in the steering mechanism after about 4 or 500 hours of use. BUT there is a serious flaw that has developed for me which I did some research on and discovered it to be a trend with the G27 in particular. The wheel is becoming off centered during use. I messed with re calibration settings again and again which worked temporarily yet the wheel would always inevitable stray from center during driving to the point I was holding the wheel 90 degrees to stay straight. Apparently the optical sensor on the force feedback motors becomes lose inside. There are you tube videos instructing a fix with epoxy but it involves taking the wheel almost completely apart. Logitech is sending me a new wheel. I have dropped my rating from 5 to 4 stars (and not 3) because Logitech is standing behind their product. I will post back with an update in another year to see if the problem has been potentially addressed in new makes of the wheel. If I were to start over I would look into another model for this reason however, as now I am without a wheel for at least a couple of weeks and I'm still waiting for my shipping label to arrive in my email from Logitech to send it back to them. Customer service is another review I'll have to update at a later time as I see how this unfolds. Having gone through that the force feedback lives up to its fancy gear technology. On my old Logitech Wingman wheel it always felt a bit like it was going to break while in use as well as having that gear whine when you whipped it around, the G27 is the real deal and makes you realize the others are toys. If like me you are contemplating whether 200 bucks for a wheel is worth it I can say that it is if you are into being connected with your driving games. One last tip I will mention is this: at first the wheel felt like it had a very small dead zone even when the game's settings where set to zero dead zone on the steering in put. I ended up going into the Controller Profile for the wheel's settings and set the SENSITIVITY from 50 to 100 percent which made a big difference and completely cleared up the wheel's dead spot. Playing F1 2013 with this wheel is truly an experience.

I've owned many wheels over the years. In fact, the wheel that my Logitech G27 replaced was a Logitech Momo Force from 2005. I loved that wheel, but it was getting long in the tooth and was missing some features that I finally wanted for my sim racing experience. After playing with the G25 on some demo systems at LAN parties, I opted to go for the updated G27. The good: * Force feeback strength is strong, and if you turn it up to 150% in the game profiler you'll get a real workout! * The pedals feel very sturdy and are designed to support both hard surfaces and carpet * The pedals also provide good feedback and have a fairly long throw. Don't be afraid to stand on that brake pedal or mash the gas for an epic burnout! * The H-patter stick shift has a nice feel to it, and the inclusion of a reverse gear (push down on the knob, go all the way to the right, and shift to 6th gear) is a fantastic touch * Works wonderfully on the PS3 (like most Logitech wheels) with games like Gran Turismo 5 (including full force feedback effects) * Buttons, buttons, and more buttons! The d-pad and buttons on the stick shift module are great for navigating driving menus like in F1 2012, or looking around the car. The grouping of the buttons on the wheel vs. the stick also allow you to do more fine-grained control schemes. Like controls for the car or the view can be put on the wheel, and controls for the game engine, etc could be put on the shifter pod. * The leather wrapping on the steering wheel is extremely comfortable * Has bolt holes for mounting permanently to racing seats The Bad (none of these issues were severe enough to warrant removing a star, they are mostly personal annoyances): *Perhaps the only feature that I miss from using the G-25 at events was the ability to switch the shifter pod between H-pattern mode and an up/down style mode like the Momo had. I found that capability particularly useful in games that needed heavy use of an e-brake. * Logitech's latest driver is from a few years ago, and it's not supported in the new "G-Series" Logitech Gaming Software v8.0+, so you're forced to use the byzantine Logitech Profiler that's all but useless any more * Only uses 2 small feet to secure the wheel, which can allow it to move around a bit during hard steering with lots of force feedback. It would have been nice to have an additional pair of arched arms like the shifter pod has to reinforce the small feet on thicker desks * Shifter pod mount can move around and loosen up during high-adrenaline action. I've had it fall off my desk once. The Ugly (Similar with issues in "The Bad" section, more personal annoyances than anything): * Minor cosmetic stitching issues in the leather wrapping on the wheel * Pedal spacing is a little close for people like me who have big feet. Overall: I would recommend this wheel without reservation to anyone who wants a fantastic simulation experience. You may be bothered by some of the minor annoyances that bother me, and you may not. I've figured out workarounds for most of them, and the wheel is perfect for me. I hope to one day be able to build my own custom racing seat for a more immerse simulation experience.

If you're actually interested in driving simulation get this. I had high expectations awaiting its delivery and it still impressed me. The build quality is very high and seems it will last. Allows you to steer with extreme precision over the PS3 controller. It's just plug-n-play with GT V, with the exception of one update I believe. It required just a little bit of work to make it compatible with DIRT 3 on the PC, just driver issues really. You probably aren't going to find a better wheel/brake/shifter setup available to the general public. The quality is equal to that of high-end arcade racing games/ simulators. I do recommend that you either buy one of the available stands here on amazon or make your own. Simply fastening the little plastic clasps onto a desk doesn't cut it, the force feed back will shake everything on the desk as will your jerking. I knocked my TV over when I turned real sharp and pretty much punched the shifter, so just a heads up. (I'm a violent driver) The brushed steel finish and leather steering wheel/shifter/pedals is awesome and it really makes you feel like you didn't waste a penny. The buttons have no labels on them but anyone with a shred of intuition should be able to figure it out. The F1 shifters are awesome, put bluntly. Super responsive, like pulling on a feather. The click it makes gives you good feedback via a physical click and an audible one. The gas/brake/clutch are also top-notch. There is appropriate resistance on all of them. (the clutch has no resistance it seems) and the resistance can be adjusted should you care to do so. The shifter is nice, it's very loose feeling which by no means makes it fragile. I would imagine it was intentionally designed that way for more responsive shifting. NOTE: To reverse while using shifter you must press the shifter DOWN as if you were pressing L3 or R3 on a PS3 controller, move the stick all the way to the right while holding it down and pull it down. Alright I'll finish this with one major issue I have and really the only issue. (IMHO) There is no traditional E-brake, you can however assign some of the red keys on the steering wheel in both GT V and DIRT 3 to function as a E-brake but it just feels silly and kills the immersion. This is a colossal issue for those wanting to practice drifting (with an e-brake anyways). I bought the XL21 Xlerator Wheel Stand for this and don't regret it what-so-ever. I intend to write a short review for it. This is an excellent product, well worth the asking price if you value immersion and high end simulation. Don't immediately brush it off because it's Logitech, I did. Any who I'm in the middle of the 24 hours of Le Mans and was taking a break because my arms are shot from the force feedback. Back to the vroom-vroom, good facing fellas.

Simple to install, easy to use, programs easily and takes a beating. I use this while driving on Gran Turismo 6 on PS3, shifting with the manual shifter can be a little tricky as you have to have the clutch pressed and throttle completely released and have the gear in the desired position before resuming throttle and letting off the clutch. I go a little too fast out of order at times ramming gears and find neutral instead of 3rd sometimes but I know it is me messing up, not the wheel pedal assembly, and I am pretty sure its with the programming in the game. You can go from shifting with the shifter to the paddle shifters on the fly no exiting or pitting then starting again, just grab the wheel and shift with the paddles no problem. Clutching with the paddles is not necessary so you get a true semi-auto transmission feel. Another feature I found on accident is if you shift with the paddle shifters first then go to the stick shift without touching the clutch you can manually shift the cars with the stickshift that allow you to shift manually without using the clutch, so you don"t have to worry about missing gears when shifting. Takes away the clutching feel but helps find the shift position for those that are not familiar with it. Reverse you press the shifter down then go to the 6th gate, and you have to rev the car and release the clutch like a real car, not just gas and go when using the manual clutch setup. Only issue I have is the shifter doesnt have a 7th position, but in GT6 any car that has 7 speeds (except the Lexus ISF) can only be shifted with the paddle shifters, the ISF you can shift up to 6th but never engage 7th as there is no gate or programmed gate on the G27, and honestly I havent found a shifter on the market that offers a 7th position. Keep in mind however, if you decide to get this wheel setup for GT6 as I have only the newest version of most cars can be manually shifted, some "standard cars" you cannot use the shifter/clutch as they are not programmed to do so ingame, you must use paddle shifters. Also some cars that were never offered with a manual shifter (Mitsu Evo X, Lamborghini Aventador etc.) you can only use the paddle shifters. Otherwise enjoy and drive on, and don't be afraid to fight the feedback at times or ram the shifter when setting that lap time, I'm a 260lb guy that swings a 3lb hammer for a living and it takes everything I give it and asks for more. I have mine bolted to a Fanatec CSL Seat (which I had to cut a portion of the shifter mount on the seat off to make the shifter fit even though I wasn't supposed to have to) and it doesn't move or make creaking noises etc, it's solid and I dont have any problems with the wheel at all, it's great and fun to use.

UPDATED 06/01/13 This has been a great wheel! Keep in mind I only play Gran Turismo on a PS3. I have tried the Thrustmaster F430, DFGT, and Fanatec GT3 V2. The DFGT has horrible shift buttons with no feel (click) to them. Their small size limits you to keeping your hands in one location as well. The DFGT increased my lap times more than the F430 did compared to a DS3. Pro's - overall quality and durability is very nice - all but one button can be remapped in Gran Turismo 5 - pedals are very nice, i recommend mounting the pedals to a base or against a wall - buttons on the wheel are tricky to use when the wheel is turned more than 90 degrees e-braking is very tricky, so i still use a controller for drifting - paddle shifters are nice, have a click to let you know you shifted, although a little flimsy and a bit too close to the wheel, you'll pinch your finger if you shift with one finger and have others underneath the lever - the wheel is angled upwards a bit too much, which I negated by putting a small 3-ring binder (or wooden wedge) with the small side facing the driver to decrease the angle - action is smooth, but can be loud when full force feedback kicks in - feedback is always strong even at the lowest setting, and can shake my entire corner desk - there's no playstation button! so you still need to use your controller here and there - it works very well with the PC just be sure to fully calibrate it in the control panel first, or you'll only get 300 degrees of rotation by default, and you have to go into the control panel and adjust that. I found the PC calibration tool and game calibration tools more complicated than they need to be. I don't trust FANATEC's ($400 cost) support history, and their being out of Germany and the best Thrustmaster rig is just too expensive. UPDATE I just received a Fanatec GT3 V2 pedal and chair set yesterday 05/31/2013. The seems on the wheel were not comfortable, the cooling fan makes a whining noise, the basic pedals (even firmed up) are not as nice as the G37's by far. All of the onboard custom settings didn't seem to make that much of a difference overall. Specifically, turn-in was always better on the G27. I raced 5 laps in a FR 550PP car with Sports Hard tires and my track times were far better with the G27. THRUSTMASTER: I've been a longtime user of Thrustmaster products. I was always happier with Logitec's flight sim products. They weren't always nicer per say, but overall they worked better. I did try the Thrustmaster Ferrari F430 wheel. I was able to match my controller times and it was nicer than the Logitec DFGT. The shifter buttons were way too loud and the gears were very notchy with fine turning adjustments. The pedals were nice. The buttons could not be remapped in GT5. They were laid out pretty well, but you have to get the layout from Thrustmaster support which was very responsive I must say. The T500 seems like the way to go if money is no option, but you're going to want the F1 wheel add on and that puts you around $800 and up range. I'll be looking to add an e-brake and race chair to this and get a backup G27 for parts in case this one breaks.

I was rather hesitant about buying this at first. I was wondering if I should just go the last 5 miles and get the Thrustmaster T500 for my simcade racing experiences. Boy, was I wrong about this wheel. For a beginner, it's more than enough. Quality construction on everything aside from perhaps the 6-speed shifter which seems to be a touch plastic-y and iffy when doing quick or sudden gear changes. Not a huge thing, just something I noticed while racing in Assetto Corsa. FFB is adequate, I don't have any true grips about it. Pedals are a seriously solid, full metal construction. They could use custom coils though. I found the brake pedal to be way too stiff while the gas pedal to be way too loose. Overall I'd give this a 5/5 so far. DiRT Rally is a blast and the roads in Assetto Corsa really reflect back to you in the wheel. Is it going to be as good as the high level Thrustmaster wheels? No. But you're also not paying TS level prices with this either. I might come back after a couple months to update on how things are going with it, but so far I'm more than satisfied.

Aunque sea un volante que lleva ya tiempo en el mercado la calidad del force feedback es excelente. En simuladores de Pc puedes configurarlo a tu gusto y puedes hacer una experiencia realmente buena, si lo que buscas es jugarlo en ps3, yo siempre practico en gran turismo 6 va bien el volante la verdad muy buena respuesta (pero hay que modificarlo en los ajustes del juego como por ejemplo ponerlo en simulador, sensibilidad etc.). Tengo WRC4 y el volante tiene una fuerza impresionante. las palancas es chica pero funciona corectamente igual que el embrague. Los pedales tiene materiales de alta calidad, los pedales no tiene valvulas hidraulicas ni se ajusta la dureza, tampoco cuentan con vibradores. Lo recomiendo mucho mas que un thrustmaster 300 el costo vale la pena y se me hace justo. por cierto llevo ya 9 meses de que lo adquiri y me funciona igual.

Dieses Lenkrad ist wirklich jeden Cent Wert, wenn man gute Verarbeitung, extrem gute Haptik und Funktionalität haben will. Zwar gibt es schon länger Nachfolgermodelle, aber leider hat die Qualität der Produkte von logitech mit den Jahren sehr nachgelassen. Deswegen empfehle ich jedem weiterhin das G27. Einrichtung unter Windows 10 ist kein Problem. Mit entsprechenden Adaptern bzw. Konvertern soll es sogar an der Xbox One funktionieren.

Good response to controls, need a quick computer for best performance.

3年前にGT5が出たのに合わせて購入しまして最近まで使っていました。 ハンコンはPS時代に変なプラスチック製のものが初めで、 ロジクールのGTFP→そしてG27が自分にとって三代目のハンコンとなります。 プレイシートを買ってやっていましたがこれは最高に面白いです。 ハンドル→高級感もありとても握りやすいです。 手が滑らない質感で運転しやすいです。 シフト→G27の特徴の一つ6速H型シフトノブは良い感じです。 スコスコとシフトチェンジ出来る辺りは、実車のガコッ！とシフトするのとは違い軽い感じです。 けれど、ゲームコントローラーでここまで出来れてば合格でしょう。 シフトノブブーツも革製でちゃんと付いてます。 フットペダル→シフトと同じくこのG27の特徴の一つでクラッチ付きの3ペダルのフットペダルです。 作りが頑丈で、ハンドル、シフト、フットペダルの三つの中では最も素晴らしい部分です。 一番感動したのはペダルの重さです。結構バネが強くて強く踏み込まないといけません。 けれど、この重さは実車に近いものがあり自分は好感触でした。 クラッチもありますがまだ実質クラッチに対応したレースゲームが少ないのが現状で、 使用頻度は実はそんなになかったです。 GT5でも一応クラッチは使えますが、少し特殊な操作をしないとクラッチを有効に出来なかったはず。 自分は結局クラッチなしで6速シフトで遊んでいました。 総じて素晴らしい商品といえます。 どのハンコンでも言えるのですが、レースゲームはパッドでやらずにハンコンでやった方が良いです。 パッドではレースゲームの5割くらいの楽しみしか味わえないと思います。 専用シートは正直重く出し入れに苦労します。自分もそうでした。 良くこのハンコンを買った人はこんな商品を買っています、の項目にある2000円位の机と椅子でも楽しめますよ。 まずはそれでやってみて、本格的にガチッとした装備でやりたい！という人はシートを買うとよいですね。 追記： ハンドルの部分を少しコメントを追加。 FFBは当然ながらキッチリ効きます。自分はGT5でしか使っていませんが、結構強めに効いていると思います。 ハンコンでFFBがないものがありますが、あるとないとでは雲泥の差ですよ。 コーナーリングで、縁石に乗り上げた時に、壁に追突した時、ハンドルに衝撃がバッチリきます。これが最高！ デュアルショックのパッドが振動するのとは大違いです。
