Barry Loser: worst school trip ever!

Can't go wrong with a Barry loser book.Daughter loves them

My 6 year old is a big fan of series like "The 13 Storey Treehouse" which are of a similar type to the Barry Loser books. I suspected he would enjoy "Barry Loser: Worst school trip EVER". He was happy to read the book and finished it, but he didn't love it. There were chuckles and the format was great for him (small amounts of decently-sized text, well interspersed with funny illustrations). He enjoyed some of the playing with language, but we both thought the Treehouse and the Dav Pilkey books did it better. However, I know this is a late instalment in this series, and maintaining quality through a series can be tricky. My son is very interested to read some of the earlier books in this series.
