The Best Bones I've used for years for our dogs
I haven't written reviews, only 1 or 2. Now is the time people should know how I feel about these C.E.T. HEXtra Premium Bones. Our Vet, who sells those C.E.T. Bones, I tried one pack, but relized after seeing how good they are, I checked Amazon, and sure enough, they sold them, and at a better price. Our Vet said when dogs reach 4 to 5 years old, regular rawhide does grind/chip their back teeth. That worrid me, but Vet said they're not bad, and introducted me to C.E.T. bones. Dogs have been on them for long time now, and I continue, oftened, to buy C.E.T. HEXtra Premium Oral... chews. And when so much time passed, and recently Vet both dogs teeth, the older dog, her teeth are the same, they arn't worse. That to me is GREAT. Now I order from whoever has the better prices for C.E.T. chews. (NOTE:-I would check, though, make sure if you want to try these, make sure if you order $25.00 or over, that there's NO POSTAGE, some are 3rd parties, some 3rd parties offer free postage. Just letting all the Dog lovers know this.)We've been using these Chews for so long, and when it's time to give each of them one, all I say is "how about a 'Chewy Bone'....WOW, no matter where they are in the house, they come a running, right to the closet in kitchen where I store them. They also, when I open the pantry, they run to other room, next to kitchen, and sit and wait, while their tails wag alot. That, at least to me, tells me they really like them.So for anyone out there who wants to know what I think.....I think these C.E.T. HEXtra Premium Oral ARE THE BEST, and I would NOT recommend any other chewy bones, especially rawhide, or any other hard bone.If this previous isn't enough to convince you, I don't know what else to say, other than "Maybe you should at least try 1 bag, even if you pay postage. I bet after that 1 bag, depending on size, which I buy the 30 extra large, which is much better price, they have small, medium, the right sizes for any dogs. That's about it. If anyone wants to ask me questions, feel free to write/ask. I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Doggie Crack....and they work
I have long known that if my dogs had to rank their love for treats against their love for me, I'd probably rank first.....but it would be close. And then we discovered the CET chews. Not only would the CET chews win over me, my dogs would not hesitate to sell me in exchange for them.Every dog in our extended family is addicted. I think they lace them with something. Put them up against a regular rawhide and there is no contest. We all gave each other chews as gifts for Christmas. (Which in retrospect was dumb, we could have just kept them and saved on shipping...but who knew?)They do work for teeth cleaning by the way. I have one dog, a rescue, who has some damaged teeth (one broken, others degraded). He came to me that way. I've had them cleaned by the vet more than once but since we've discovered a heart murmur sedating him for a cleaning is no longer an option. The CET chews have helped. His teeth are still not great, but there is a noticable improvement in the amount of gunk. My other dog has nice mostly white teeth and the chews have really helped keep them that way. These were also wholeheartedly approved by my vet.And one last benefit...if you want your dog out from under foot for a few minutes these are also handy for that. I do use them occasionally when I need some quiet or am feeling like there are just too many german shepherds in the house crowding me. They happily take them to the back yard and chew away quietly. So big thumbs up here (or paws up, or dew claws up or....you know what I mean)

No replacement for periodic brushing but GREAT for daily care
Good product. It is certainly better to brush, but these seem to be a good alternative. Certainly more pleasant for both parent and dog. Wanted something that dogs had to work on to chew but also had some kind of active ingredient. Have noticed a reduction in tarter. I give each dog one after they eat (1x per day). Been doing for about 30 days. They love them. Use extra large for our 130lb Swiss Mountain Dog and the small for our little 12lb chug who we adopted with some teeth problems. This is not a whitening treatment. Not a total replacement for brushing. Does seem better than Greenies or things like that—Greenies are good but more for breath freshening. We give each dog the right size and they are gone in a few chomps—no idea how that can work to actually clean teeth. C.E.T. is expensive no doubt. Brushing costs far less and probably is better but again, can be a challenge. C.E.T. is nice because it is easy to do every day. My human kids brush everyday and finally occurred to me that my furry kids needed to keep their clean also. One last thing—I do not see this as a solution for a dental problem—see a vet if oral problems are acute or dog’s breath is very bad for a sustained time. I would do that before trying these.

Too expensive but my dogs love these...read my review for safety warning!
Way expensive but my doberman LOVES these. Im all about dental hygiene in dogs. My dobie doesnt have bad breath (amazing compared to my death breath min pin) so I cant say they improve in that area. Be wary though..TOO MUCH of this type of a treat can cause SERIOUS issues. Here is what I mean: ANY raw hide treat in this NON ground up form...strips etc., pose a SERIOUS blockage risk for dogs who swallow it once its gotten to a size where they can swallow it. I have been a vet tech for 26 yrs and worked in the ER for two yrs and I have seen MMMAAAANY surgeries where we had to pull out a piece that SWELLED and blocked the intestinal tract. Many dogs of various sizes chew and eat these with ZERO issues..but be mindful. If you can find the kind that have been ground up and COMPRESSED (usually sticks that look like they are made up of little dots of rawhide) those are a far safer choice ..especially for small dogs. If you ARE going to give rawhide strips and are not worried..then try these..chlorhexidine is a GREAT way to reduce bacterial buildup. just use sparingly and with caution!
