Salter Pie Maker
Quick and easy to use. Just the right size for a home made pie. Easy to clean and stores nicely. The design is simple but stylish and the food cooked comes out at the right temperature and tastes great. I use a lot of slater products and think it’s well worth the money

The Perfect Pie Maker!
Really super compact little pie maker, and WOW! the pies cook to perfection after just 10 minutes. Easiest way to get the pies out is to gently tip them out. The unit seals the top to the pies perfectly. Really pleased with my purchase, saving a fortune on shop-bought pies.

Brilliant
This is a lovely little gadget. Easy to use and clean. The pies are cooked perfectly. The only downside for me is getting the pie out. I just tip them out. (One of my son’s has a different make and has the same problem. Plus, his was far more expensive than this one) so that’s the reason for 4star instead of 5.

Superb pie maker!
This pie maker is amazing!I have used it many times and I’m delighted with the results every time. The only thing that is tricky, is positioning the pastry base without either tearing the pastry or burning yourself! I have solved the problem though! I don’t pre heat it- I just assemble the pies whilst the machine is cold and then turn it on. It’s so much easier that way, just give them an extra 5 minutes cooking time and they turn out just as good!I also cut a slit or make a small hole in the lid to help the pastry cook and let the steam out. Make sure you trim any excess pastry from the edges as this can sometimes catch if you leave it on. (this happened to mine on my first attempt)I bought another 2 for Christmas presents and both family’s were delighted.I would highly recommend this product, it produces perfect pies in just 10 minutes.Remember to roll your pastry quite thin - otherwise it will be raw on the inside if it’s too thick. Treat yourself to one of these, you won’t be disappointed.

Love it
My family just love to go to football matches and in the colder months love to take with them a comforting pie and using this simple to use gadget and handy pastry template, which makes two conveniently sized and filling pies.I can be happy knowing that my family can still have a pie on match day, I know exactly what’s gone into them using left-overs, saving me time and money.I even have batch pie making days and put them in the freezer, ready for the next footie season. Please note that this gadget is not designed for cooking raw meats but if you have pre-made a stew or casserole, even left over curry or chilli, use this to make your pies. I also agree wholeheartedly with one reviewer who said to ignore the instructions of pre-heating it prior to inserting your pastry, you’ll burn yourself easily and makes inserting the pastry into the mould difficult as the pastry starts to melt. Start each batch from cold, you’ll still have a beautifully cooked pie in 10 minutes!

Not my best kitchen gadget
Not very successful, unfortunately. The pastry cutter they give you means there's far too much pastry in the "cup" of the pie, and the "lid" isn't big enough to meet all the edges around the top, meaning the pie comes apart when you try to get it out of the machine. There's no seal to join the top and bottom. Rectified by not using their cutter, which means it's more of a faff than it needs to be. Also, ignore the instructions telling you to heat up the unit first and then line it with pastry. That is nigh on impossible without burning yourself or partially cooking the pastry as you try to get it in the mould, meaning you're trying to line a very small, very hot object with pastry which is trying to cook before it's even in there properly let alone got any filling. Do it from cold and allow a longer cook time.

Great Pie Maker
I bought this as I hate buying those Pukka pies in the supermarket where the filling is 99% gravy and if you're lucky you might get one tiny bit of beef, and if you're super-duper lucky then that tiny bit of beef won't be all fat/gristle.This is advertised as deep fill, I'd agree it is fairly deep fill; you can fit probably two thirds of a mug full of gravy and meat. The pastry template is really handy, whether you make your own pastry or buy the pre-rolled sheets from the supermarket the template makes it very easy to cut down to the right size.I've found cooking for around 12 minutes is enough (meat should be pre-cooked of course), the pastry is golden with a slight crunch and the filling is piping hot.Next step will be to try batch cooking some for re-heating and eating later!
