Terrible quality and not much to the story. There’s only about 2 or 3 words on each page. Don’t recommend 👎🏻

The books are thick board books, good quality. I am rating so poorly because the books are abridged to the point where they aren't even the full story. Some aren't even stories. Example, the Red Hen story is just various farm animals going to sleep. That's it. I downloaded the app for my daughter but only 3 of these books are transferred on to there. The stories on the app are the full stories which is to say you can't follow along in the books and there isn't text on the app so I don't see how it's suppose to help teach reading like was advertised. I got these books mainly because my daughter destroys books that aren't board books and I wanted these stories that are so ingrained in our society that everyone is basically expected to know how they go, and they were such a big part of my own childhood. So I am extremely disappointed that these aren't the stories they are meant to be.

I had expected an abbreviated version of the stories, and I will say that some of the books are more incomplete than others. However, it is the illustrations that disappoint. They are not very engaging for toddlers. I have gotten a lot of sets of these small chunky books for my granddaughter (Disney, Sesame Street, etc.) and have not seen such lackluster pictures from other publishers.

The titles on the books led me to think that the stories were the original stories/songs that go with the title. They’re not. Old McDonald is just a story about Old McDonald’s bedtime routine. They’re cute little books and if the whole set had only cost $4 I would have kept them. Not worth it for $14 though. I like the other set that this company sells though. The Mother Goose Rhymes.

A long ride was in store for a 2.5 year old, so this was bought to help with keeping him busy. I'm sure he'll enjoy it just as much at home as in the car--kids love tiny books.
