It has clear examples for each section which supports independent learning and is exactly what I was looking for. The book is split into 7 sections: (1) Number and place value, (2) Addition and Subtraction, (3) Fractions, Decimals and Percentages, (4) Measurement, (5) Geometry and (6) Statistics. The topics within each section have questions split into 3 levels of difficulty: Set A (Easy), Set B (Middle) and Set C (Hardest). The style of questions are varied, so that students are well prepared for any question on the topic. It also provides lots of repeation for building up fluency. At the end of each section above there are some challenge questions, which require some higher order thinking skills. £7 is well worth the price beacuse it has the whole national curriculum in it with a variety of question styles to both consolidate and stretch children's learning. It is spot on for buidling a solid foundation for your child to excel in maths. I love this book.
