A gripping end to this outstanding trilogy. He builds memories so well that he can drop in characters from the first book and you easily pick up their part in this epic story. Superb.

Livre maculé et en état médiocre
La couverture papier du livre (hard cover) est maculée (de sang sèché ?). Les pages sont rabotées sur l'épaisseur en plusieurs endroits.Je le signale parce que c'est le troisième livre reçu cette année en mauvais état ; je ne l'avais pas signalé pour les deux premiers, arrivés sales et abîmés de Pologne.

犯罪小説の金字塔。ケラーが麻薬取締局長官に！ヘロインの新たな流入と資金の流れに狙い定める。一方、大ボスを失ってタガが外れたメキシコでは下剋上の戦国時代に突入。第二世代ボス間の暗殺、裏切りから中間幹部の勃興、末端のケチな売人、ホームレスのジャンキーまで様々な局面を丹念に描いて行くその執念に引き込まれる。組抗争の一方、南米から米に密航する子供たちなどやるせない話（事実に沿う）や刑務所内のおぞましい様子など、トルストイばりの大パノラマ。700頁だが活字が小さい！（目が疲れる！）普通なら1000頁だろ！！読後感は虚脱感まじりのため息（目と内容の厚みから）です。完結したので作者に帽振れ！！トランプ某らしきが登場するのも面白い。

Brilliant. Read this book
Critics loved it, they are right. There is a reason The Border is a Best Seller. Winslow's latest "City on Fire" is also awesome. A caution: if you read one Winslow book you will probably read all the others - and he is a prolific writer!

Alle drei Teile sind der Hammer und das ist ein super Abschluss der Reihe! Ich hätte noch mehr davon lesen können. Ich bin fast traurig, dass die Saga zu Ende ist?
