Finally, a natural way to thin mucous
I bought this for my 2 year old son who has constant congestion. He tends to get colds and then just swallow all the mucous, vomit, spikes a fever, has a febrile seizure, and sometimes end up with a sinus infection. We tried everything. Sinupret thins out the mucous so I can get it out of his nose. It tastes good too so I didn't have to wrestle a 2 year old to the ground either. As soon as he took it, the snots came running out and I could grab them with a tissue. One problem. He is allergic to everything. By the second day, he did get a slight rash across his stomach and I can't really say what caused it because he tends to get these rashes a lot. Also, I did notice that there is a tiny, tiny bit of alcohol in it. My guess is that the manufacturers need to put this alcohol in it to dissolve everything. So just don't give it to a child under 2. I did clear it with his Pediatrician before giving it to him and she said it was fine but to follow the dosage correctly.Part 2: I got a terrible sinus infection. green snots for weeks, eye and nose pain, fatigue etc. My doctor said to take Mucinex which did work, but put me to sleep. I tried other decongestants and they made me jittery. Then I remembered I had the Sinupret in the back of my medicine closet. It thinned the mucous right out without any side effects. It actually worked BETTER than the decongestants too. I am ordering the adult tablets next. I find that taking it with one ibuprofen works best. The ibuprofen reduces the inflammation and cuts the pain and the Sinupret thins out the mucous so you can get it out of your nose. Sit in the shower with some steam after taking it and you will feel much better.

Once a wary & worrisome parent...now a satisfied & happy one!
Oh my goodness. You know when you get a product that delivers, it is just that wide-eyed, wondrous amazement and overwhelming satisfaction you get because you get what you are looking for. Well, this is it. I am a worrisome parent of a 3-year old girl who has, unfortunately, had issues with congestion, sinus infection, and runny nose since, well, since she was born basically. I have never tried any OTC decongestants or nasal sprays due to the warnings of giving those types of products to children under 4 years of age. However, when this season's sinus congestion and yellow snots came, it hit hard. My daughter was unable to breathe especially during nap and bedtime. She would wake up crying and screaming because of the fact that her sleep was disturbed by her lack of breathing. Now, I'm not going to say this product made her sleep consistently and made the congestion disappear, but when you need something to BREAK up the mucus and congestion, this product does it. During the day, I gave her as instructed, 3 doses (the smallest amount). The first day, I gave her 1/2 of the instructed amount of her age (so 1/4 teaspoon according to their provided measuring cup). That first day, it started to gradually work, in my opinion. The mucus was coming out consistently throughout the day and she was blowing her nose consistently. Then on the 2nd day, WOW... it just started pouring out! It's that relieving sound of mucus breaking apart and getting out of her system rather than being stuck somewhere back in her nose or throat where you can't get it out with a bulb or Nose Frida (although that helps as well). Finally, on the 3rd day I gave her the full 1/2 teaspoon per dosage, and her runny nose and congestion seemed almost to be fully gone during the day. However, at night, it came back with a vengeance. Although it came back, I believe that the product helped to minimize the amount of congestion, help most of it come out, and PREVENT further sinus infection that might require an antibiotic. Today (Day 4) she is still blowing her nose with a lot of mucus coming out, but again, it's coming out and that's a good sign. It helped that this product is recommended by Dr. Sears whom I follow online whenever my kid comes down with symptoms such as this. A very trusted resource. It also was my first time purchasing this type of product online so I was quite wary of giving my daughter the Sinupret, but I took the chance and both my husband and I are impressed and really satisfied with its effectiveness.

This stuff works!!
My toddler son gets unbelievably "mucousy" when he gets a cold. This mucus then goes right to his chest and causes much havoc. EVERY time he gets a cold, I wish, "If only they had some type of approved decongestant for toddlers, he probably wouldn't have to get this sick." FINALLY, I have found something that 1) you can purchase for toddlers and 2) actually works! I purchased this after seeing it recommended by Dr. Sears. We've only used it with one illness so far, but it was a bad one. I was at wits end at 3AM one night and in a total Mom panic mode after having my 3-year-old up gagging on excessive mucus for 1.5 hours straight, so, I gave this a try and I swear, within 20 minutes, everything had settled and he slept like a baby for the rest of the night. It was honestly like magic.I typically don't go by negative reviews where the person tries something one time and then gives it one star beause it didn't help. There are a lot of illnesses out there. Not sure this will help with the flu or something along those lines; however, I have one data point to say that it certainly helped with a serious head/upper respiratory type cold. Also, my primary hesitation with actually using it was due to some of the reviews on the dangers of giving children ethyl alcohol (which is in here). If you dig further into those reviews you will find their concerns are unfounded and the statements are exaggerated, given the actual amount of alcohol in a dose. It was, however, very difficult to ignore all of the very positive reviews. When that many people like a product, it usually is somewhat effective at the very least.
