This looks like an excellent case, and I think it will fit my needs very well. Since the iPhone 7 plus is rather large, and I carry it in my front pocket, a maximum protection, clam shell type case is just too big when all is said and done. I used a case very similar to this from another manufacturer for 3 years with my iPhone 6 plus, and it worked great, but they changed what worked, and after a couple hours of wading through reviews, I decided to try this one.My criteria was that I wanted it to add as little bulk as possible while adding protection to the edges and corners likely to suffer when I do drop the phone. I wanted the edges to have some grip, but I didn't want it to get stuck going into or out of my pocket. I also wanted the edges to be raised so that if I put the phone face down, it was not sliding on the glass. I wanted it made out of material that seems like it will last the three years I try to get out of my phones, and I didn't want to pay a whole lot for this basic protection made out of plastic in quantities of millions.Upon receiving this case, I can happily say that it certainly meets my criteria for fit, finish, price, and design. Not wanting to wait for three years to comment on the durability, I'll have to guess here, but it looks like it'll make the long haul, and with the lifetime warranty, I'm not going to worry about that. I'm going to hold off dropping the phone as long as I can, so I can't comment on the protection of the sides/corners, but comparing it to the last case I used, it seems like it will do that job too. It fits the phone nice and tight, and provides the elevation protection to the face glass when on a hard surface. I didn't use the included glass protector, as i don't like them since i can never get all of the air bubbles out of them.Thank you to the many people before me who too the time to review this case. This case has become my go to case. I have had quite a lot of phone cases through the years, and currently have several for my iphone 7 plus. This case is a perfect everyday case. Here is what makes the case great. It's thin, yet protective. The case will protect from an average fall. I'm fortunate in that I don't drop my phone a lot, but if it were to drop I feel it provides some protection. Now mind you it's not going to be as protective as rugged armor like case, but with those comes bulk. The case has a slight texture to it that provides for a solid grip. It's not overwhelming, but just the right amount to help you hold onto the phone. The case also doesn't leave finger prints, so the phone is very sleek and clean looking. For me I like to enjoy the original design of the iphone as much as possible, but have never felt comfortable going without a case because of natural "oopses" that happen. This case is exactly what the company Silk is about...simplicity. I also own two of their Vault slim wallet cases, and again they serve the purpose of carrying cards, yet keep it simple. Another nice thing about this case is that it's only about $10. For that price you're getting a lot of case. It comes with a screen protector. I have a tempered glass on mine already, and the case works fine with it. The cut outs are precise and clean. I use a metal insert inside the case to mount it to a magnet mount in my car, and again it works perfectly. As I have been carrying this case around I keep noticing that I just really like this case, so I thought I would share. Give it a shot. Amazon is great about returns, but for $10 you really won't regret it. That's the price of two Grande coffee beverages at your local coffee house. Not a bad investment if you ask me.

The Silk is a phenomenal minimal iPhone case.I've upped my review to 5 Stars after having used it for a year, while alternately testing it in comparison to other cases.The main thing about the Silk, at least for me, is that it has exactly JUST the right amount of textured, tactile, grip so that I don't drop my phone in the first place, while still allowing me to slip it in and out of pockets with ease.In addition there's no weird, obtrusive, raised surfaces (or odd-textured design elements) on the sides or back, so it simply feels nicer to hold than ANY other case I've used on iPhones over the years. The Silk branding is also super minimal, on the back in keeping to the overall theme; it's almost invisible and even beautiful in it's simplicity.The caveat with the Silk is that you must be someone who is also "mindful" with your iPhone in the first place. The Silk has protection, but it is NOT, by any means, an ultimate drop protection solution—and it doesn't claim to be. So if you tend to drop your phone, get something more robust (or find an additional carrying case large enough to use with the Silk). Again, I've noticed I just don't drop the Silk in comparison to the "military grade" drop protection cases I own.Additionally, because the Silk is designed to be thin, there are only a few millimeters between your iPhone screen and any flat surface. It is just the right amount of space in my estimation and the same goes for the protection of the camera lens on back. Again, it helps if you are mindful about where you set your iPhone down—which is true in any case.I've concluded that the Silk is a fantastic, practically perfect iPhone case. It suit my normal, everyday, iPhone use. I find I truly miss the feel, balance and texture it gives my iPhone when I am not using it.

I must say in my opinion for the price this case is great. It has a sort of sandpaper type feel to it which feels nice in the hands and provides a decent grip + no fingerprints (but i've only been using it for less than a week so time will tell as it wears down). Jumping between the iPhone 6s and the 7 Plus handling was a bit of a concern but this definitely helps. I was going to buy one of those leather cases but with the rain and snow lately the possibility of it getting wet and damaging the leather is high so I resorted to getting the black silk one. Gives it the matte look which is great since when I want to have a different feel from the jet black device. For $10 range this is one of the best builds I have seen although I REALLY did wish the bottom lip was a little more stronger. I can swipe down with my thump and the bottom piece is bendable. This is an issue I've seen in many cases and not sure why. I understand due to the charging port the flap is weakened but would have been nice to see a different type of material used there to keep it stronger. Perhaps in the new releases but I've got my eye on the blue one as well. Hope to get that sometime in the near future. I am one of those people who is never satisfied with a phone case. I bought the 7 Plus on launch day and have probably bought 15 cases for it so far and I was still looking for that perfect case. I think I found it here. This case is exactly what I want & need. Once I received the black one, I immediately ordered the gray one because I liked it so much (I wanted some variety and the price is so reasonable). The case is very solid and fits perfectly. I prefer TPU cases but sometimes they can be slippery, but the texture on this case is such that it is grippy but still goes in and out of pockets very easily. It does not show fingerprints or scratches either. One thing that is very important to me is the bottom of the case where the speaker cutouts are. I hold my phone with my pinky finger supporting the bottom of the phone so if there are sharp edges there, I quickly dislike the case because it wears my finger out. This case is very smooth and low profile on the bottom so it fits my needs perfectly in this regard. The case is protective enough that you can lay it facedown on a table and the lip protects it. The rear camera lens is also protected as well, but it is cut so perfectly that there is no added bulk anywhere on the case. To me, this makes it feel like a more minimalistic case than it actually is (which I love). At this price point I would have felt satisfied with the purchase if it cost twice as much. I will be giving my other cases away and using this one exclusively.
