I loved this machine!!!!! I made my own t-shirt business with it but due to relocating and getting a new job I had to sell but definitely worked well!

Bought this for my granddaughter (10 year old) to do craft stuff with. Selected this because it is sold in many local craft stores, and for some people it might be just what they want. It works well within it's size limitations but for me it has the following limitations:1) You must go online and use their software not installed on your computer to generate a driver program for your design each time.2) As I read the service agreement, when you submit a design this way you are giving Cricut rights to reproduce and publish your design to others. I dislike this a lot.3) Material size that the machine is able to handle is limited in two dimensions, unlike similar 'commercial' type vinyl cutters that are limited in width but capable of unlimited length, for roughly the same purchase cost.4) Cricut offers many stock designs, some for free, but most will cost you a few dollars or more. See item 2 above to see where they get many of these designs.5) Probably you can get hands on assistance from your local craft store that sells these, but they would probably prefer that you buy from the store instead of Amazon if you are planning to ask for support from the store.When I buy a vinyl cutter for myself I will buy one of the 'commercial' machines offered by Amazon and generic design/driver software that runs on my own PC and keeps my files at home where they belong. But I will expect to pay the price of no local support, no local source of renewables and support, and no canned designs available.

I bought this for my wife's birthday. She's been wanting one for a while and I was afraid of the result because her standars are very high and gets easily frustrated. Needless to say, she is in love with it. She learned to use it very quickly and started designing anything that she could think of. Extremely recommended.
