I’ve used the Philips BG 2040 for close to a decade now, and other than the occasional nicks and cuts and the fact that for so many years, I couldn’t get a replacement head, I’ve been happy with the product.I decided to upgrade to the 7000 series, coz of better battery life and performance and the dual sided trimmer. Plus it had a replacement head included. I think the variable trimmer is what I lacked all these years in preventing the nicks. So if you’ve forgotten to manscape or shave your underarms for quite a while, you’ll have a thicker growth with longer strands of hair. Most of the Philips series products you use, will end up in some hairs being pulled and some discomfort. I used to offset that by wet shaving and using soap or shaving foam.However, the trimmer here, allows you trim the hairs down to an easy to handle length, before you switch to the zero setting and then the foil shaver for a smooth trim. That’s been a big revelation to me. You could go from a thick bush to next to nothing within 15 minutes.The 90 minute battery, gives me the confidence that I can use it without it running out on me, as the BG 2040 used to. There is a reason this is top of the line and many websites and reviews will agree.Downsides? There are a few: for starters, this is 2021 and no one should be using proprietary charging ports. This means, you can only use Philips chargers with its products and that sort of locks you in with the options available. Second, the battery indicator doesn’t show you how much charge you have left. You just have the one LED to show you when it’s charging and when the battery is low. If this was included in the next iteration of the product, I’m sure it would be near perfect.Finally, you gotta remember that this is a game of patience. So, don’t expect to run the product all over your body and get a smooth trim. Results take time and you gotta invest that time on your body. This is a trimmer, so don’t expect shave-like results. You will have micro hairs since it won’t trim down to the roots. But, it’s worth it, and the product is fun enough that you would want to use it again and again.Definitely worth its price. I highly recommend this over other products!

Compré esta máquina porque ya estaba gastando mucho en rastrillos, entonces después de una investigación exhaustiva de máquinas afeitadoras di con este modelo.La batería es muy buena, si la cargas completamente te alcanza muy bien para recortar y rasurar todo el vello corporal que necesites. No irrita de ninguna manera la piel y deja muy bien afeitado todo.Es muy fácil de usar y los cuidados son mínimos, aunque recomiendo leer el instructivo para el cuidado general. Muy recomendable.

I received this with a US power cord but with a U.K. adapter. The outlet of the power cord is supposed to be housed within the U.K. adapter and screwed in but the US power cord plug is too big to allow this.The item arrived in a brown box and with just a Phillips sticker on it. It looks like the packaging that is used when items are refurbished or sent back from repairs. This does not look like a brand new item. I will test it and if unhappy it’s will go back. For the price one would expect a new product and a power adapter that works rather than having to provide my own. There was no mention that this had a US power cord. Very unhappy customer.

I have always been a fan of Philips body groomers and trimmers and this one is a great upgrade on my last. So easy to handle and no faffing about adding combs as all in one. Gives a nice smooth finish on my body including my boys downstairs. You do have to concentrate when working below the belt on your sack, but this definitely does the trick, my boyfriend loves the results. And worth every penny to pay out extra for the case. Nice, neat, stylish and compact.

After having tried many other products, including the Phiips One Blade, and the "Balls" shaver, this product is the only one that actually works without causing any nicks and cuts.It is perhaps expensive, but it works a treat.The trimmer also works well for my head hair, (not that I have much of that anymore)..This is an excellent product, and I thoroughly recommend it.
