The product can be finicky but I have had the same experience with the official go plus, the pokeball plus, the gotcha and the original pocket egg. Outside of that if you try to connect both devices at the same time or if you have other devices also trying to connect at the same time, they can get confused and try to start competing with themselves to connect. It is best to connect one at a time and wait until it is connected fully before connecting the second device.Finally there is an app that can help get around the current connection issues with 1.57 called go companion that helps boost the bluetooth connection during pairing to help improve it. It solved the issues with my pixel xl and galaxy s7 on pairing with the device. My s9 never had any issues with this patch.I wanted to update my review. I bought a second Pocket Egg Pair Device and it has some issues that are not related to the app or phone.The original pink pocket egg pair works great. So good that when I wanted to stop using a couple of single device pocket eggs I had previously I decided to buy a second one. Blue this time. (I have 4 phones)This one has not worked properly since I purchased it across 6 different phones both mine and others as I tried to give it away and go back to my old single device eggs. Specifically it does not seem to want to stay consistently connected. Usually one device will work fine but the other will disconnect every few minutes. It seems to mostly be the primary connection but on occasion the secondary connection acts up as well.If the device disconnects after an hour, that is intentional and part of the app, not the device.If the device disconnects occasionally at random and more frequently while moving from place to place, that is likely the the game. It does some sort of verification check and if it can't complete the check it disconnects the plus device (poor internet or cellular connection. I have a known cellular deadspot and if I don't walk through it quickly enough my devices all disconnect)If the device consistently disconnects. Then it is likely device.

This device has completely changed the way I play Pokemon Go, Having it automatically pick up every pokestop I pass by without having to check my phone is a godsend, especially with as many pokeballs you'll be needing from all of the pokemon it catches! Seriously, I've caught hundreds of pokemon (including some pretty rare and powerful ones), got thousands of stardust, hundreds of pokeballs and great balls, and really filled out my pokedex, all completely passively, just be keeping the pocket egg on during my morning commute. It feels really solid, but is small enough to easily fit into any pocket, backpack, or purse. The fact that it uses AA batteries is really nice, especially if you've got rechargeable ones you can use. The battery life is great on this thing btw, I've forgotten to turn it off several times overnight, and it's still chugging along in the morning. Thanks to the dual connects, me and my coworker both are both able to freely use it while in the office, and we give each other hourly reports on whatever we've caught. Had zero issues with the delivery, packaging, or durability of the pocket egg, and connecting it was a breeze. This is a must-have device for any pokemon go fan, and I can already think of a few friends of mine who would be stoked to receive one as a christmas gift!

I bought this as I work near a few poke stops and wanted to stop always running out of poke balls. I have been using it now and I am maxed out on supplies to the point I have started to just delete regular balls. For anyone saying the instructions are not good I would disagree as they were super easy to understand and follow. I had this connected to 2 phones with no issues and we were both auto spinning and auto catching Pokémon with ease in the back ground. Definitely a must buy if you work or life within distance of a stop and just want to reap the rewards without doing anything. I do recommend to turn the sound and vibrate functions off as the beeping is rather loud, besides that it is amazing!!!

Purchased this for my boyfriend and I to use simultaneously. We can both connect however we lose the connection very quickly...sometimes in as little as 15 minutes. It is small and seems to work ok when we are out and about but for just catching when we are home it's not the greatest cause of the connection issues....we will continue to use and try and see if it's something in the settings but we are a little disappointed overall.
