misprint in instruction manual!!
This game is a fun one for 2 people to play- my husband and I really enjoyed playing once we figured it out. The instruction manual was not very informative, in fact some of it was contradictory- so we went online to the latice.com website and watched the how to play tutorial...and then we saw on their website that the instruction manual had a misprint, which cleared up a very confusing point and allowed us to play and have a good time doing it. Again- it's nice that it's a game that only 2 people can play- kind of a mix of scrabble and quirckel. The max that can play this game is only 4, so it's not a good large group game.

Newest Addiction
We are addicted to this game. If you're on the fence about it, GET OFF THE FENCE AND PLAY THIS GAME! I mean, seriously. It's awesome. It's not like you're doing anything else - just sitting on a fence. For reals, though, this game is SO much fun, and great for everyone. The creators even considered color-blind folks and put patterns on the tiles, which is such a nice consideration. All ages would enjoy it, I think, but the strategy can get a little involved/intense so if a family with kids were playing, they might have to take it kinda easy on the kiddos. Also worth mentioning, the company's customer service is absolutely incredible. We somehow lost two of the tiles and were lamenting having to purchase a whole new game. My spouse reached out to Latice as a last-ditch effort before buying a whole new game, just to see if there was anything they could do for us. They responded quickly and helpfully, and were totally willing to send us the two tiles WE lost. So appreciative! As soon as those two tiles arrive in the mail, we'll be back to playing this game almost every evening!

Great for 6 y/o
Got this for my daughter's 6th birthday. I was concerned she might get a little frustrated with it, but she loves it and learned the rules very quickly. She wants to play it everynight! My wife and I have even played it a few times after our daughter goes to sleep. The rules are straight-forward, easy enough to jump in and start quick, but I've already found some areas for strategy.I think this game will be a go-to choice for years to come.

Love this game!
Pros: The game is very fun to play. We played a couple of rounds and will be one of our go to favorites. Love the actual crystals and how the board game looks sturdy and well made. The tile holder is a great addition to the game.Cons: A little confusing at first when I saw the video. But once I read the directions, it became more clear. After one game we got the gist of it. Also, wish I had bought the deluxe edition before they discontinued making them.My husband and I are game board lovers. When I saw this I had to get it. However, a new version came out and they were no longer making this version. When I saw the new version, I knew that I wanted to old version instead! The old version looked like it had more detail and not all cardboard. I love how the stones are actual stones and not just cardboard. My husband and I liked them so much that we didn't want to give them up {but had two because you can only hold three sun stones at a time :) I also loved the simplicity of the art on this edition. For some reason the new editions looks too busy for me. I'm going to buy a new edition to compare and will update later.

the most awesome game you've never heard of
The reviewers were right about this game. It's addictive! Really great for our family and friends who come over. Everyone (aside from my mother, who is not a gamer of any sort) loves to play it! I bought for my dad, who bequeathed it to my youngest daughter, we play about once a week (for 2 months now) and it's quite the thoughtful yet competitive game for us. Youngest for our family is 16, but this can probably be played by all ages. Strategy-wise, it's better for older teens and up to play together, since it can be brutal when someone runs the board. Those wind cards... we argue about changing the rules to distribute them evenly or not (I prefer the surprise of NOT), but what a game. Highly recommend.

Yay, an original new game!
We bought this for my daughter for her 11th birthday, and it's become one of her/our favorites. We're a big board-game family, but my daughter doesn't care for word games or very long strategy games; this is visually appealing and can be played in less than 30 minutes, but requires some strategy and - I don't know what you'd call it, maybe spacial reasoning? Other games she loves - Set, Sequence, Qwirkle Cubes, Labyrinth. This fits squarely in a family with these others, but is different enough to justify buying a new game. (I find so many games that look interesting are essentially rehashes of existing games we already own - not this one.) We also like the rather soothing tropical motif, with "sun stones" and "wind" and cute animals... very Zen. A winner!

Great addition to our board game collection!
This strategy game was a lot of fun! It is easy to learn, simple to set up and quick enough to play a couple times without getting bored. To give you an idea of the types of games our family enjoys, here is a list of some of our favorites:Settlers of CatanPirate's CoveSmall WorldBlockusLabrynth

lots of fun. Similar in some ways to Qwerkle
This is a creative game, lots of fun. Similar in some ways to Qwerkle. The artwork is pretty. The basic idea is simple: in order to lay a tile down, it has to match with either the color or the picture with all tiles adjacent to it, and the object is to get rid of all of your tiles. It's a little complicated with how you earn the "sunstone" jewels to take extra turns. But we've played it several times (ages 7- adult) and think it's pretty fun.

Its a fun game. However some little things (that individually don't matter) kind of add up to make the product less good. The board doesn't sit flat, and some tiles look different on the back (meaning that hidden information isn't quite hidden). The rulebook has a very serious mistake in it, meaning that it is useless as a rulebook and players should use the internet to learn the game rules.

very disapointed
I discovered this game last summer and loved it. unfortunately this version is very poor in contrast with the version I played with and very expensive for tiles in cardboard.I am vey disapointed

Received a misprinted version of the game with entire sheets being very off-centered. This doesn't prevent me from playing the game but it certainly doesn't look very nice. Got in touch with who I believe was a representative for Adacio and was promised a replacement copy, which I have not received (this was back in May). This rating is not for the game itself but is aimed at the lack of quality control. Though the communication with the seller was excellent, my copy of the game remains crooked without a replacement copy in sight.

Will quickly become a family favourite
Fantastic game - our friends brought it first and we played it on a camping trip. Brought our own when we got home it was so good. My 8 year plays this no problem, my 6 year old needs a little help but also really enjoys it. even my 14 year old decided to play (instead of his xbox - so lofty praise indeed lol).

Good fun for all ages
Fantastic game - has been for a wide age range, from 7 years to adult. There’s a handy video which makes understanding the rules very simple. You match tiles by colour or shape with the aim of getting rid of all your tiles first. Matching more than one side gets you extra benefits and you can be quite strategic as you play.
