Prestel Cat and the Bird: A Children's Book Inspired by Paul Klee

This is a cute story with bright, colorful illustrations. You should definitely note that the artwork isn't Paul Klee's. It's just inspired by his painting "Cat and Bird." Still a fun book to share with kids and talk about Paul Klee's work.

I love the painting, by Klee, that this book is based on. With his understanding of the sensitivity of the artist, the storyteller has woven a captivating tale. Beautiful!

I teach first grade and the students loved the story of the cat and bird. They thought his famous painting was beautiful and colorful.It was a wonderful introduction to his work. We drew his painting of the cat and the bird and used pastels. The children were so proud.
