An absolute must
This book is an absolute must have and it has motivated me to start my own business in the near future. The book is very informative and I believe an invaluable tool for those with little to no previous business knowledge. The book provides many links to publications and other material to assist with learning, all of which are current and up to date.

UK Edition?
I wish you would have specifically told me this was a UK edition other than the tiny print on a cover picture. Product description and title said nothing about it being a UK edition. Thanks for wasting my money...

Covers all the basics.
I advise SMEs and start-ups and I recommend this book every time. It lays out in pretty much idiot-proof detail nearly all of the things a start-up owner needs to know.It does not adequately cover buying a business (just one page, but then it is not about that - and buying a business could be a book in itself!)This book covers all the basics, but it does not cover the pit-falls and traps. It does not cover the very, very real problem of the huge number of deluded fools that think they are going to start a business and need to be protected from their own foolishness. It also does not cover what I call the door-banging test - do I have a real business idea? I always tell those who ask for my help in testing the feasibility of a business idea, "If they are banging on your door, begging for your product or service, you've got a business. If you have to bang on their doors, begging them to buy your stuff, you don't have a business."N.B. This excellent book is geared to UK market conditions, rules and regulations only.

One Star
Would have been nice to know that this is the UK version. Now I have a useless book.
