Quiet and work in the rain.
Organic brake pads are the quietest brake pads. They also work great even in the rain and have a good feel when braking hard or braking easy. Compared to metallic pads which which can squeak and squeal very loudly much of the time. The trade-off is in longevity. Organic pads need to be replaced much more often. Pads are generally easy to replace but replacement also costs money. Quiet and more often replaced versus loud and less replacement. Metallic pads can eat your disc rotor up too. So that's also more time and expense. There are some in-betweener pads you can look into. I'm gonna stick with organic quiet pads that are easily replaced and don't eat the rotors up. Seems like the most time-efficient and definitely most quiet way to go. I keep an extra set for the front wheel and one Allen wrench in case I need it on the road. I take off the bracket holding the caliper, not the wheel so it only takes a minute or two. Adjusting the caliper bracket after pad replacement is easy. Just grab the brake lever and tighten the caliper bracket screws and it's properly adjusted. It takes a minute or two at best. Don't watch videos that show taking off the tire. That's a waste of time and energy especially if you have a heavy eBike with lots of stuff on the handlebars or a windscreen like me. Just do it at the caliper bracket.
