メタラーニングの方法。学び方を学ぶ。

couseraのオンライン講座で同様の名称の講座を受講してとても役立つ講座だったので、その参考書として紹介されていたこの書籍を購入。日本でも学習法の本はたくさん出ていますが、この本はアメリカらしくとても実践的な内容で、著者の多くの人に学び方を学んでもらって、可能性を広げてほしい、という思いも伝わってくる本です。本書で挙げられている学習法を一つ紹介すると、ポモドーロ・テクニックというものがあります。 25分を一区切りとして、集中した学びの時間にすることを繰り返す、という手法で、イタリア人がもともと思いついた学習法です。ポモドーロは、イタリア語でトマト、この方法の第一人者が、台所のトマト型の調理タイマーをみてヒントを得たことから名付けたとのこと。 10代半ばの子供が主なターゲットですが、大人も対象になっている本です。
