I tried this for this first time and could not believe the difference in taste. I was making a pasta sauce and the results were amazing. Tastes like I used fresh tomatoes.

I used this in my lentil soup recipe. It turned out great. I also like that it’s not canned.

Great flavor

Used this for a classic lasagna recipe and it was a hit. Everyone kept telling me how delicious the lasagna was. it really brought out the flavor of the lasagna and it was better than using store bought pasta sauce as I added my own fresh ingredients to the dish using this Passata sauce.

Good quality

This sauce is more flavorful than typical tomato or pasta sauce. Bright and light, I had originally ordered it so I could make shakshuka, as well as a vegetarian chickpea/zucchini dish. However, with thunder/lightning storms in the area, grilling thick pork chops for last night's dinner was out of the question - a quick-fix was needed. I pan-seared the (previously brined) chops, added the Passata Rustica and a handful of sun-dried tomatoes, simmered for 10 minutes - turning once - and Ecco! - a flavorful dinner ready in no time (served with pre-made mac-and-cheese, and crusty bread). I bought more Passata today.

I get a metallic taste from canned tomato products so am glad to have this. I stir some of this with salt, olive oil and dry oregano and use for pizza sauce It doesn’t need any cooking before adding to top the dough
