This is basically hydrogen peroxide with some fragrance to mask the harsh smell of peroxide. I use it once a week to gradually lighten my roots. You need purple shampoo or better yet a toning mask if you don’t like brassy tones. This basically does what bleaching does without toning. You’ll end up brassy. If you’re keen on maintaining blonde hair anyway, you better invest in some purple products -shampoo, toner, toning conditioner etc.It didn’t damage my hair more than bleach would do. I use olaplex 3 every few weeks though. And I don’t use this everyday. I generally take good care of my hair and condition it like crazy so maybe that’s why I didn’t see any side effects. It works. Slowly and gradually but it works.

I’ve Probably used one third of the bottle and I still can’t see much difference. I won’t rebuy this.
