It's not the best yarn for dishcloths. U want a cotton yarn for dishcloths or cleaning rags. Cotton is more absorbent and will hold it's shape.

Q: are these yarns vegan?

I bought this yarn, and the labels on them say "Acrylic Yarn Skeins." The description on Amazon says the yarn material is acrylic. It feels like acrylic yarn. So, I assume the yarn is acrylic. Hope this helps.
