the only deodorant I buy. Goes on smooth, no white residue, and smells lovely. Occasionally need to reapply if it's a long hot day, but otherwise works great

Best natural deodorant EVER! I have tried so many and this is the right combination of no stickiness, stain resistant on my T shirts and controls my odor amazingly. Very happy I found this so I bought a 2nd one. So far it lasts a long time.

Exactly as expected. No scent wanted, usu. do vanilla but allergies lately have made me go for something just as effective, but no scent. This was it!

I've been using this product for over 10 years and was very happy with it. Unfortunately, the latest one I bought failed to control odor. I tried different soaps, etc., to see if I had done anything to contribute to the failure, but nothing helped. I contacted the company in April, asking only if they'd changed the formula. I got a response 2 weeks later requesting the order number. I answered their email within 5 minutes, and since then, 6 weeks later, radio silence despite my asking again. So, simple question, right? Shouldn't be hard to answer a loyal customer, right? Nope. I don't ever recommend supporting companies that don't respect their customers, and I no longer recommend Lavanila.

This is my favorite aluminum-free deodorant that I’ve found. It goes on easily, and is not powdery. It goes on clear, in fact, and has not marked or stained my clothes- works well with tank tops or sleeveless shirts for this reason, even dark colors and whites. This is NOT an anti-perspirant, so the pits do get wet if you sweat. However, it keeps the smell at bay at least through the day for me, and my armpits are actually healthy instead of dry and itchy like they get with anti-perspirants. I have sensitive skin, and this has not caused any irritation, even when I have used it right after shaving. This one smells like soap to me- not perfume or powdery, but clean and fresh. It’s a very gender-neutral smell. My only wish is that there would be less plastic use in the packaging, as the container is a pretty dense, hard plastic. If they could find a way to use more cardboard or something instead for the tube, at least, that would be great. Hope this helps.

It's okay. Ever since I had a kid, I've had issues with body odor that I never had before. My OB/GYN suggested this deodorant bc it is aluminum free and all that, and she said it works REALLY well. Well, it smells REALLY strongly like bar soap when you put it on (enough so that my husband with diminished sense of smell made a comment about it), but thankfully that fades after 5-10 minutes or elder I would get a headache. It doesn't prevent you from sweating (I knew that going in since it's a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, but thought I'd mention it in case a reader doesn't realize that), and it only provides odor protection for about 18 hours, less during our heat waves where we are getting into the 90-100 degree range and only portable AC units. It works okay, but I would expect better performance for the price, so I won't be repurchasing.

This is my second purchase of this deodorant and I’ve been very happy with its performance. I was looking for something aluminum-free and not an antiperspirant, and also something that worked reasonably well to reduce stinkiness and this definitely fits the bill. It generally lasts all work-day for me (I work in an office environment) and absorbs well without being sticky or slimy. Obviously natural deodorants have their limitations so I’m not expecting perfection, but it’s perfect for my general everyday use. I also appreciate that the container is recyclable though it seems to be slightly over-engineered…why are there so many parts? Overall I will continue to buy and use this product because it works for me and my lifestyle.

First things, I would call neither of the scents vanilla. The "pure vanilla" is more of a shea butter/general moisturizer smell. The "Sport Luxe" has a clean smell. Both are nice, just not what I was looking for. The bigger issue is that the standard deodorant had only about 2 hours longevity, and that is with working in an air conditioned room doing non-strenuous activity. The sport one would last most of the work day, but definitely got a little funky towards the end of the day, and held out for a work out enough, but I have had better deodorants that were not as expensive. The biggest issue for me though is they gave me rashes after using them a couple days straight. I though I was jsut getting some razor burn flare ups but once I took these out of the equation I knew for sure that these guys were the culprit. I really wanted to like them, but after a month of trying to make it work I just ended up itchy :(
