My wife did tons of research for shoes that were both flat soled and would provide decent protection for walking on hard surfaces. We had a lot of trouble finding suitable choices for children of his age. Most shoes for kids his age (9-12mo) are for mostly for looks rather than function. However, we finally settled on these.We’re currently on our 3rd pair. We got two in the next size up to have a spare pair on hand. Now at 15 months, he’s basically running and kicking balls anytime we’re outside in the driveway. These shoes have protected his little toes very well. Especially in the early days when he was dragging his feet more. Even now, he scuffs the toe from time to time. They are easy to get on/off and even easier once broken in. The soles don’t fair well to moisture and will get saturated if walking on wet grass or in a puddle.My only real complaint is that they are not holding up for as long as we would have hoped (small hole in toe area). Amazing quality for the price. Real leather and well made. Easy on.Definitely fit large. We got 12-18 month but they are quite large on my 13 month old, but we have decided to keep them for spring and order the 6-12 for now for daycare. Don't hesitate to buy them just size down unless you have a baby big foot****EDITED FROM 5 STARSWe loved them so much even though they were too big that we ordered the size smaller and they were actually bigger than the first pair and made differently. They have a slippery leather inside which will cause the foot to sweat way too much.Super super disappointed and don't have the time to take these to the post office to return them.

I would buy this item for the 3rd time. (I have black and cognac)They remind me of moccasins.Great leather. Well made.Value for money is worth it!Excellent for little walking “tods”. Easy on and off for quick outside play or stroller walks (I found).I also think the black, for example, is so suave for family gatherings. Nice solid color. ;)The sizing isn’t too crazy off, I actually never noticed, but others have said they run a tad larger.Traction is better than some of “non-skid” socks/sleeper “bottoms”; I found/saw. My son runs no problem in these inside, where he is way more cautious in the supposed “non-slip” rubber dot grips on walking socks for example.I would use them outside in dry weather only. (Wet cloth to clean only is recommended)All and all…This is one of my favourite baby item purchases, for sure.Great baby gift!VERY practical.

Love these shoes I will keep getting them until my son outgrows all sizes. There are so many varieties with these type of shoes but I got Mejale last 2 pairs, I know they're durable, comfortable and true to size as long as you measure your baby's feet and follow the recommendation(feet length+1cm insole size). My son is 1.5 yr old and his feet are close to 13cm so I chose 12-18 months/14cm pairs this time. Perfect fit! Shipping took longer than last time, about 20 days since order. I wish they make adult size too. I so want one for myself as slippers.

The size guide is slightly off - my son's feet measurements told me to get the 12-18 size but they are far too large. I kept them and purchased another pair in the 6-12 month size which fit great even with socks underneath. These are super cute and seem comfy - love the elastic on the front which makes them really easy to get on and off.
