Easy to read and follow along.Many things are pretty obvious or well known to the generation like mine who grew up a lot more socially and emotionally aware compared to the generations the author is talking about and to.Still, it’s a good guide and condenses various reminders and tips for new parents that will come useful while the child grows and develops.It can definitely be used as a reference books when finding yourself lost in doubt about your parenting style and whether you are doing something wrong.By reminding ourself of the simplest things we can get out of our convoluted minds and bring order to chaos.

This book is a lovely parenting book. I have finished reading it and will read it again. I have learnt alot about the different emotions and how to deal with them as a parent and also how to coach kids to deal with different emotions. I really enjoyed the fact that the book is backed by academic research. I also found the interactive tests very helpful and instructive.

Another triumph from John Gottman! I've given this to every expectant mum I know... but it also relates to how to coach people and validate an adults feelings as well. It's a beautiful book and definitely a life changer. Read his other books including "baby makes three" as well!
