Touching up dining room chairs

So.... remember the felt tip????? No you don’t, you forgot it completely!!! And since I didn’t actually need it at the time of purchase... when I opened it to find no felt tip.... it’s past return time!!! So I have this $10 touch up that will not ‘touch up’ buyer beware.

My child has done a number of things to my furniture as she is growing up and so I’ve tried at least a dozen furniture pens trying to cover scratches and stuff. Up until now, all the pens I’ve tried (even a brown sharpie) have all worn off or faded or just plain didn’t look good. This pen matched perfectly and I have to really search for where I used it. It blends perfectly and hasn’t come off or faded at all. Now I don’t cringe looking at my furniture.

Our house is very old-built in 1895! The staircase is chestnut as are all the window and door casings! We have all the original light fixtures and some stained glass windows. It was important to us to restore the home to its original glory. The stain stick is so very good and easy to use and did the trick! The color match was perfect and helped us restore our home. I live in an apartment duplex and every year maintenance checks to make sure smoke alarms are working, people aren’t hoarding or making meth labs in the basement, etc. Well I have a cat that loves to use the old oak doors as a scratching post and has dug pretty deep into the door. Guessing, I bought the dark walnut and you can barely tell my cat attacked it. (The grooves from her scratching are there but much much much less noticeable unless you squat down to inspect the door) Wish I could have taken some before/after photos but I didn’t want any evidence of what my cat did, lol hope this helps.
