Old guy finally back on a bike
I used to ride a lot, so when e-bikes cam along I was happy to give it a try. Bike riding is fun again! I laugh at hills and I can either pedal or let the bike do the work. I chose this bike because it was a nice compromise between performance and comfort. Beefy tires, a rack and a decent power to range ratio. I've had it for about 7 months and have done about 500 miles (no, I don't ride in the winter) and my 20-25 mile rides on reclaimed railroad trails are just the ticket for this bike. It's a bit heavy. That's a warning to stay within range or you'll be pedaling home without motor-assist on a boat anchor. It's a little under-powered, but I knew that going in; steep hills require you to add leg power.I had a problem right out of the box that anyone buying this bike should be aware of. I simply couldn't get the brake rotor to stop scraping on the pads. I thought the rotor was bent, but it turned out one of the mounting screws wasn't tightened all the way down. I's suggest after assembly, you go over the factory screws, nuts and bolts and torque them all just to be sure.I also had a problem with the system display. One morning it simply displayed gibberish. I called the support line, described my problem and within a few days, I had a new display. I was skeptical because my expectations were so low for any customer service, but they followed through and I had the new part in short order.Overall, this isn't a high-end bike, but it really suits my needs and is worth the money if you just want a nice, comfortable ride.

This is the one. It has everything!
I decided to get an e-bike and after doing my homework Amazon was the place to buy one. Bike shops across the country are price gouging these bikes. I looked at each model for what I wanted in a bike. The previous comments about customer service success was a huge benefit in making my decision. The rest was all up to sohoo’s designing. The bike arrived on time and the box looked really good. Upon future inspection the bike was scratched and the front brake disk was bent and was the reason the bike was scratched. I did not call customer service as the part was $10 and I replaced it myself. I had some touch up paint as well and the scratch was easy to cover. It took less than an hour to build after I stopped and got a new brake disk. It was really impressive out of the box. The battery took about 8 hours to fully charge. The cruisers claim of mph was 100% accurate. The petal assist was easy to get used to. I only use 1-3 and the placement of the switch is perfect but you can adjust for different size hands. The throttle is just like you’ve seen on a motorcycle or moped. Twist and go. So easy. The center placement of the large computer screen was a huge selling feature. Some are on the left handle bar by the grip. This back lit screen is perfect and gives you mph, shows your petal assist modes, if your head light is on, and your odometer. So user friendly. The tail light works every time you squeeze the brakes. The head light is impressive too. Customer service reached out to me before the bike ever shipped to make sure they sent me the right bike before it even left the warehouse as they have a model for taller and shorter riders. I told them I wanted the taller version like I ordered and they sent it out right away. The battery life is amazing. It’s better than advertised. I currently have 139 miles on it and it’s at 55% battery. I charged it when it was at 50% when I hit 65 miles. I’m at 139 and the battery is at the 50% mark. Outstanding. I added mirrors, a water bottle holder, and a bike carrier bag all found on Amazon. I would say the only negatives were the bent brake disk but the bike was really packaged well so it must have happened in oversea shipping. I was impressed how well it was packaged. The other was the seat the bike came with. It actually points upward and there is no adjustment to bring it level. It was not comfortable. I added a new seat and bike post all found on Amazon and under $30 and now it’s perfect. Other than those two call outs this bike is amazing. I will be purchasing the smaller version(step through) in the light green for my wife so we can enjoy these bikes together. This was one of my best purchases this year and after my home work and all the great comments by other owners it was a no brainer. Thanks sohoo!!!

Great ebike! Great customer service!
I love this bike! For the money, I do not think you can beat the quality, features, and power of this ebike. I had a minor issue where I needed a small part sent to me and customer service was outstanding! I actually, made a mistake and gave them the wrong house number; however, they re-sent the part to me at the correct address right away. Thank you, Soohoo customer service! Thank you Hanks!Update: Like many others have said: the quality of this e-bike has been very good and, after having put about 500 miles on it, I am very happy with my decision to purchase this bike. Actually, the quality of this e-bike is equal to or greater than that of the equivalent e-bike from Aventon, even though the Aventon e-bike is hundreds more. For example, unlike the Aventon e-bike, the Sohoo Ebike has integrated front and rear lights (and even a horn!) that ALL run off the e-bike’s battery! Also, the handlebars have very nice stitching which remind me of the interior of my Lexus ES-350. All in all, a great e-bike for a great price!Update:Still loving this ebike, with over 1000 miles put on it! I just wanted to also note that the placement of the battery on this bike is optimal, with a low center of gravity and weight distributed directly under the rider. Also, the battery is very well protected in this position. A very smart engineer designed this frame!Update:I've put almost 4000 miles on this bike, and my opinion is unchanged. As far as I am concerned, this is by far the best e-bike for the money that you can buy. It has features (such as integrated lights and a horn that run off the battery) that many bikes costing twice as much do not have!
