It's neat to be able to repair your cables, allows you to generate less waste.As another said, the pictures in this listing don't match with what you get, so this loses 2 stars.One side of the board, there's labeling but the number of pads don't match with the number of labels and on the other side, it's even more confusing. This takes off another star.

I soldered to the side of the connector with 4 pads : vcc/vbus, d+, d-, gnd, empirically it seems the one adjacent to vcc is connected to A5 CC1, thus I could substitute the male plug of a notebook power supply with 3 wires coming out red vcc, blue CC1, gnd
