Absolutely perfect
Can't live without these things....awesome. From picture frames to heavier ceramic pieces...perfect, easy to remove and no holes. CLEAN the wall and item with vinegar water and let it dry before you attach the strips. I thinks some people are either not cleaning before they attach the strips or are using some type of detergent that leaves a residue...These will not hold properly if you do that. Follow the weight restrictions and don't try to hang up pictures that have a cardboard back....you're assuring disaster if you try that. I also would not use these on wallpaper....same problem....to porous for the strips to hold. The larger you go with these, the more weight they'll hold and I've had perfect results.

Worked perfectly for me
I've used a variety of these Command strip products, including many of these poster strips. I just moved out and took everything down. Worked like a charm. Poster strips -- left both poster and wall perfectly intact and clean. This is the product on this page, I absolutely love these. Strips with the plastic cord holders - perfect, ran then along a piece of wood behind the sink in my kitchen. Passes by one old hook (not a command strip) that was installed there ages ago, is yellowed and glued firmly, will never come off. Reminds me why I love these strips. Landlady didn't follow instructions--my landlady came in one day to look around and without consulting me decided to take something off the wall that I had hung up using command strips. She had no clue how they work so she just yanked it off and it left some marks. I don't like her. I was pretty angry. I don't expect these to work flawlessly in extreme temperatures or high humidity, or on every imaginable surface. I expect they will not work well if the paint is not well adhered to the wall, if the surface is not clean, if the weight hung on these strips exceeds the force they are rated for, or if the instructions are not followed properly. However, so far I haven't had a single failure and I plan to use them to hang up everything, including mirrors, in my new apartment.

Great for posters! As a teacher I LOVE them!
I'm a teacher and now use these command strips exclusively to hang posters on the walls of my classroom. I've tried every alternative, including masking tape, packing tape, duct tape, hot glue, tacky stuff, and all the special "teacher" tapes specifically designed for this purpose. With all of these my posters would fall at night or over the weekend when the central air in the building was turned off. So frustrating! With these, my posters stay neat and attached to the wall all year! I must admit they are more expensive then other poster hanging methods but the frustration they help avoid is so worth it in my opinion. I do cut them in half, lengthwise, to limit the number I use on each poster. They hold just as well and come off cleanly at the end of the school year. So pleased!

Good for paper, not for fabric.
These will hold up really well and won't damage the paint on your walls. But they do not hold canvas or fabrics very well. If you've got, say, an American flag to put on your wall, you might want to find some better ones. But, these have held the posters on my door, light aluminum tin hangings, and anything that they'll stick to securely for months! They work really well, and I order them off of Amazon because they're not available locally. They really work well for cardboard or paper backings! Removal is pretty easy, too. I would not recommend reusing them after removal though. The adhesive gets weak after a few removals. But they're super secure when they stick!

Does the job -- still sticking after a month
I live in a college dorm and wanted an adhesive that would hold my posters up, without damaging the walls or the poster itself. For the first requirement: I put them up a month ago, and they're still sticking to the walls. I purchased the small strips: used 1 for 4"x6", 2 for a 7"x10", 4 for a 13"x17", 6 for a 17"x26". For the second requirement: I'll have to see when I move out, but from past experience with command strip adhesives, they usually are clean if pulled off correctly. And for the third requirement, I put scotch tape on the back of the posters as a precaution. The adhesives stick to the scotch tape, and it's on the back of the poster which you don't see. Other options I've tried in the past include velcro fasteners (which are great for holding large posters up if you use 5 or 6 of them, but damaged the orange peel of the walls), and poster frames (involves putting a nail hook in the wall so there's a hole left behind, and frames get expensive).

One of the most useful supplies for any college student!
I'm a Sophomore college student and I love these strips for setting up a multitude of things in my dorm room. Although it says they are for posters I find that using more than one (as you would with a poster anyway) can hold up a wide variety of items. I live in a considerable small room shared with one other person so space management is key. I use these strips to mount my power bar (or whatever you call it) to the wall next to my desk for easy access to outlets for my various devices. I also use them to mount my small picture frames on the wall and as replacements for the larger adhesive strips used in the Command Adhesive Hooks which I have plenty of (use two facing in opposite directions to cover the entire back, works just as well as the full size strips). I've even mounted the receiver for my wireless headphones on the wall with no problems at all freeing up much needed space on my desk. And of course, I use these strips to mount my posters on the wall and ceiling (many people prefer using sticky putty for posters, but very rarely will putty be able to hold a poster up on the ceiling). It is, however, very important to follow the instructions that say to wipe down both the wall and item being mounted with rubbing alcohol before mounting. This has proven to be the deciding factor between long term adhesion and falling off within an hour or so. A fantastic product, I will buy it again and again!

Hanging up things is fine, but you will rip the back of your ...
These work well to hang things on the wall, but while Command cares if you mess up the wall, they show absolutely no care in the world about ripping your posters. Hanging up things is fine, but you will rip the back of your poster when you take these off or the poster off the wall. I really was just trying to reposition it a little but and it ripped the hell out of my two sided poster. I pulled down like instructed, but the whole thing came off the poster and took off the poster ink and the laminate coating.

Does exactly what it's supposed to
I've had the same experience as the other users with this product. I've used and trusted 3M products for most of my life, and was always curious about the mounting strips. I was leery that they would work as well as people say. But after mounting several very large, heavy posters (non-framed of course), I'm a believer. The strips went on easily. We followed the instructions and applied pressure in the correct spots for the amount of time suggested, and the posters are nice and solid on the wall. I have no doubt they'll stay up for a long, long time. I had to test the removability, though, since that's one of the major features of these strips. On one of the posters after a few days, I removed a strip following the instructions, and darned if it didn't come off just as advertised! Go 3M! If you have posters and want to make sure you don't damage your walls, these strips are definitely the way to go!

Loved this.
Very very useful if you don't want to drill your walls. I am using it for hanging photos ( with wooden lamination, 3-4 strips per photo ), very stable. As I am in rented house don't want to drill holes and hurt the owner.

Super Klebestreifen
