Quality product
This review is provided for those wondering if this drain is comparable to far more expensive brand name drains. It is. Stamping, machining, threading and finish is excellent. Nice weight. What's suppose to be round is round. I have it connected to a Hans Grohe P-trap and the two go together fine. For those concerned about the reviewers noting it drains slow: these type of drains are slow due to the bubbles that come out of the aerators in the faucets and collect in the strainer holes. Do not mount your faucet where it pours directly into the drain. You're guaranteed problems. If its a retrofit and your faucet is located over the drain, either change the faucet or use a pop-up (the top deflects the water away from the drain). I've been using these in my last 2 homes for over 30 years. Between the 2 homes there are 12 sinks with strainer tops, all were installed with a bit of thinking and all work fine.

Easily installed quality drain at a competive price
The sink drain arrived within 3 days of ordering and was installed in 10 minutes. No plumbers putty required. No plumbers tape required. The necessary washers and seals came with the drain. The only tool required was an adjustable wrench to insure that the exposed portion of the drain and its underlying gasket was given a water tight seal to the sink.No instructions arrived with the drain, but the install process was obvious.

Good Quality & Looks; Drains Slower Like Others Have Noted.
I like the look and quality of this drain strainer. The only problem is the drain speed; it's slow but not super slow to the point where I'll take it out. As an engineer, I ran some numbers and if they opened up the holes a few thousands each, it would drain so much better. Just an idea for the manufacturer.

Style and value
Our sinks were countertop sinks and needed drains for them. These look great and drain well

Fast draining
This thing drains perfectly. I replaced a drain with an overflow option to this one and it’s a world of difference. Installed perfectly with an undercount sink.

I took a chance and lost
I read the other reviews about the drain being slow to drain due to the holes not being large enough and air bubbles preventing proper draining. I figured I'd take a chance anyway, and got burned. I should know better. The drain installation was easy and went fine, no leaks, but it's SO SLOW to drain it's unusable. Just like others have said, air bubbles form beneath the drain holes and prevent water from draining properly. Especially for a non-overflow sink, this isn't good. After having the water on only a few seconds, the basin immediately starts filling up with water. I initially was going to give this 2 stars due to the ease of installation, but then remember it's a drain... that doesn't drain. If it can't do the single thing it was made to do, I can't give it anything but 1 star.I'm not sure how others were either able to combat this issue or ignore it, but this did not work for us and I am returning it.I've included a photo of the air bubbles that form and the two drain holes without a bubble that are the only ones actually draining anything.

Drainholes small
Hey, I am with some of the other reviews. The holes in the drain cover are quite small causing slow drainage. I knew my venting was fine but for poop and giggles I installed a cheater vent and it didn’t help. It drains OK for a bar sink hope this helps. Thanks. Umpa
