I prefer these tablets to the paste, especially when traveling. The tablets seem to work better as well. I’m not the best with regular tooth brushing, and my dentist is always shocked and asks how my teeth are so white, especially since they know my brushing habits. This is great for whitening and restoring healthy mouth bacteria. I also use “NO BS” tablets to prevent and heal cavities.

This was my first time using tablets, and while I've borrowed activated charcoal based toothpaste before, I hadn't used it consistently. Here's why I love it:Flavor:I HATE the taste of toothpaste. I've never found one I really liked. I usually prefer wintergreen or spearmint over peppermint, but in general, the necessity of nasty toothpastes has always been a source of annoyance for me. These are super mild peppermint that actually tastes more like raw peppermint leaves than the overpowering, artificial-tasting cold burn of most toothpastes. As a result, I tend to brush longer and more often, naturally. I really like these. I was honestly concerned that maybe the tablet form would result in an over-concentration of flavor or cold burn, but these are fantastic and never overpowering.Portioning and Foaming:Some toothpastes don't foam enough, so you wind up using way more. Some foam too much, so you have to spit some out halfway through if you overestimated your portioning. These feel at first like you don't have enough, but you find as you brush that it's the perfect amount and foams quite a bit while not being so much you have to spit some out in order to continue. It spreads well, and I've had no trouble whatsoever getting it where I need. I had expected, since the tablet is to be crushed in the front of your mouth instead of being on the actual toothbrush, that maybe it would be difficult spreading it around properly. Nope, these spread great.Tablet:Everything about the tablet concept is super convenient. I could even just toss a few into an alternate container, if needed, and never have to worry about a tube coming open and paste getting everywhere or such while traveling. The tablets are softer than expected when you bite, and the experience of crunching them up is actually super satisfying. They remind me of crunching down on some Razzles - you know, the old candy that turns into gum. Except it's a mild peppermint that turns into a fabulous toothbrushing foam.Activated Charcoal:First off, super clean feeling with the activated charcoal, coconut oil, and mild peppermint. I used to obsessively rinse my mouth again and again both to help get rid of the taste and to feel more clean. Now, I just rinse out all the black, and I feel good. Also, I feel like a super bada** monster or something making faces at myself with a mouthful of black foam while brushing.Oral Health:I'd been dealing with sore gums a lot recently, and I'm not sure if it had to do with my previous toothpaste or what, but I'm feeling a lot better and noticing significant improvement. I'm also noticing my teeth getting slowly whiter and just generally feeling better. This could also be the result of brushing longer and more frequently, to be fair, but I had already started brushing 2+ times a day as a reaction to my gums, and it only seemed to get worse. Strangely, it almost seems like my toothbrush feels softer with these, but I'm not sure why. Regardless, definite improvement all around. My mouth is much happier.Seriously, try these. They rock.They come in nice, refillable tins, so I just need to figure out where and how to get refills, because I will definitely be sticking with these indefinitely.

I travel a lot and hate having to try to pack toothpaste because I have had a few mishaps where it pops open and gets all over my clothes. These do have quite a bit of powder that puff out when you open the container, so I suggest still placing them in a bag to not let the dust get on anything since the powder is black. The instructions say you only need to use one, but I found that I needed 2 tablets each time I brushed my teeth to make sure that I felt I had enough “paste” but that is not big deal since you get so many in each container. The taste is nice and minty but not overpowering. I like the container as well because you can reuse it for either making your own toothpaste balls to refill or put jewelry or other nicknacks since it is made out of tin or metal.

I've always seen people use these toothpaste tablets. I guess I always wanted to give it a try! So I got these and I got to say activated charcoal I think does some serious wonders for your mouth and your teeth. I really enjoyed using these but I think the tablets would be strictly for travel not every day use like I used'em for. I wouldn't mind getting these again for when I do eventually go on a trip because the refills are pretty inexpensive as well as this canister was
