Q: I just recieved my watch and the hands will not light up. Is there something special that needs to be done?

You literally have to put it up to DIRECT light for 15-30 seconds for it to glow, like under a lamp. And dont be mistaken, it is only the hands that have a little spot that glows (excludes second hand). See most recent Jan 2021 review for my picture of glow! I wear it regardless though, I like the watch overall but wouldve been nice to have a better glow for night shifts

I do think the numbers are a good size easy to read, but still waiting on Speidel to reach out to on the issue that the hands don't illimunate as advertised.

Q: Does the watch comes with battery and I can buy replacement batteries on Amazon?

Hi - It comes with a battery, yes. I'm not sure about replacement batteries on Amazon. I'm GUESSING yes, since Amazon sells almost everything.

Q: How do make the hands luminate in the dark?

You don’t. If it’s dark, you’re just not going to be able to tell the time. It’s definitely false advertisement. The “paint” on the hands does not light up.
