Has anyone used the deoxit gold in a type C usb port on a phone? How did it do? How did you apply it?

Yes & in similar applications - USB ports in a laptop, PCI expansion slot edge connectors & memory slots in desktop computers & servers, contacts between digital SLR bodies & lenses, automotive connectors, battery contacts in flashlights, etc. Applied with the tiny brush or needle applicator in the bottle / applicator. It WORKS: It eliminates errors between camera & lenses, improves reliability in computers, causes flashlights to illuminate more brightly & steadily over longer periods. I've not found it necessary to remove residue. a small drop or thin film is sufficient. Saturating the contact surface is un-necessary. In a USB port, plugging & unplugging the cable 2-3-4 times tends to distribute Deoxit over the contact surface.

Has anyone found a way to apply it to the inside of a 3.5mm jack?

My solution is to coat the male plug and then insert it and rotate it in place.

Does product come in unopened retail packaging in full container?

comes in retail cardboard and plastic retail package. Bottle is about 1/2" diameter and 2" length. so it seems small.

One of my channel faders on my console is having dropouts, would this solve this problem?

I am not familiar with channel faders, but my set up is custom made for all music media, including speakers. I couldn't play anything because of the extreme static. I treated the volume stem of control panel with DeoxIT gold Mini-Brush. I then found that one of the speakers had been jerry-wired and rewired it correctly. These two steps restored the excellent music sound.
