PAULA'S CHOICECALM Redness Relief 1% BHA Lotion Salicylic Acid Exfoliant, 3.3 Ounce Bottle

The typical 2% salicylic acid products that are so widely available do a great job of clearing out and minimizing my pores, but because I have eczema and multiple skin and fragrance sensitivities, daily use of the 2% products also left me with patchy, red rashes all over my face. This is one of a very few products out there that uses a smaller percentage (1%) of salicylic acid, allowing me to use it on a daily basis to no ill effect. My skin has never looked better. So pleased I tried this before giving up on salicylic acid products altogether.

After using this product almost a month, I am really happy with my purchase! It's lightweight and it seems to have improved my redness and made my skin smoother and clearer. My only problem is that it is a bit too lightweight. I have fairly dry skin that gets oily throughout the day, so I sometimes have to add a second layer where my skin is still visibly dry. However, that's probably perfect because it will allow me to also use a moisturizing sunscreen - I just haven't gotten around to buying the sunscreen. I still have redness and I still get occasional blemishes, but overall I do believe this product has reduced those problems. I feel better about my skin, and I was very pleased with the quantity and quality for the price, and that's all I was hoping for :)

I have dry, sensitive, aging skin but still get cystic acne along my jaw line. It's pretty bad and I hate that I'm still dealing with it as an adult (I'm 37). I have been using this in the morning and Paula's choice 8% AHA in the evening , and Peter Thomas Ruth's Pumpkin Enzyme mask twice a week and with these three products my skin has never looked so good! My acne is almost completely cleared up, the redness in my cheeks is greatly diminished, my skin looks soft, supple and glowing, and my wrinkles have all but disappeared! This is a holy grail product for me!

I read the reviews and figured why not give it a try...the product is ok - I find that it leaves my face a little dry and flaky, but I have only been using it a couple of days. I put it on 2x's and I use it in conjunction with nighttime relief & the spf moisturizer in the daytime. I will give it a couple more weeks and see how it goes.

It did minimize my pores but has not help the redness on my face.
