I bought these gorgeous pepper and salt mills about a month ago. Each of them came with pepper and salt half-filled, so we've been just going through them.Today I found a flat squished plastic piece on my food while I was grinding the pepper mill. I couldn't see any broken part on the mill so I ignored it at that moment. But since the pepper mill was almost empty anyhow, I opened up the lid to top it up and realized those black things are not peppers, but plastic chunks.I'VE BEEN GRINDING PEPPER WITH PLASTIC CHIPS FOR A MONTH ON MY FOOD.I disassembled both pepper and salt mills and there were no broken parts in and out. Everything looks fine, but pre-filled pepper was mixed with plastic chips god knows how many pieces. And if you look at the picture closely, you can see those plastic chips are ground. How can you tell ground plastic and ground pepper? YOU JUST CAN'T.I loved these mills but I'm asking for refunds.Nice looking, not worth the price tag. Lost my appetite and lost my trust.

First of all, it's Cole and Mason. A wonderful brand with a good name. The quality is outstanding, the copper is absolutely beautiful. The clear part is great because you can see when it needs refilling. The clear part is acrylic, but it looks like glass. Instead of the old type peppermill and saltmills with the dial on top, which can be inconsistant, this set has a dial that you select the grind, and it is very precise. It comes in beautiful packaging that makes it feel very special.

PROs: Great quality. Consistently grinds salt and pepper according to my size requirements. Very easy to refill. Very easy to change size of gring and very easy to use.CONS: A little pricey but you do get the quality.NOTE: We did purchase the Cole & Mason H306129BR Wood Mill Tray, Brown which compliments the set nicely.

I bought one for myself and this is was for a gift. Best salt and pepper on the market.

These are great! I wanted great quality, with different coarseness settings. I love the clear with the copper. I was looking for something like this, but then when I saw these, I NEEDED to get them. And they are working fantastic!
