I was looking for a manly hair band to tame my long curly hair and keep it in place, this does the job perfectly, as others have pointed out, the black paint does come off revealing the original metallic color, but it was not an issue for me since it's hidden and stealthy.

It's perfect at keeping the hair away from the face when having a shower or washing the face.I think if someone had a smaller than average head size, then they might give 5/5, but if you've got an average or large size, then you'll probably find that the band starts to hurt your head after an hour because the metal is very strong and digs in at the side of the head. It's also a little bit too feminine for a man.

These bands are good value and effectively hold my hair back (which is quite thick and heavy so not all bands achieve this). It is more comfortable to wear than it appears, though on taking it off my head one time there was a very sore spot on my scalp where the end of the band had been so although I'm continuing to use the band I do pay more attention to whether the band is digging into my scalp or not. However I would still recommend them because this has not occurred since. Arrived ahead of schedule.

Not happy with the quality of product, I bought it without realizing its delivery is damn slow, so i contacted seller for cancelling the order but he didn't so had to wait, now going to open return anyway as it feels useless due to my voluminous hair, it doesn't hold it.

Since lockdown has taken over my hair I needed a sturdy headband to stop the flopping around. You do have to get it positioned correctly so it doesn’t dig behind your ears as it’s metal. I did have to get the pliars out to squeeze one end .

Ok, it’s not really beach weather at the moment (October 2018) but I got these for our August holiday. Very sturdy, but you can bend easily to fit the shape of your head - kept my fringe out of my face after swimming, and that’s a huge plus, as I usually resemble the proverbial drowned cat.
