Out does the Chamber series
This is a must read. The plot twists and turns like a snake in the grass or dough being made into a pretzel. Starting with Booth’s assassination of Lincoln as a backdrop, the story has a murder in the Smithsonian, a detailed view of Freemasonry and all the courtroom theatrics you want. Nothing is clear, everything is in doubt and when you think you’ve gotten to the end you find you haven’t.

Captivating legal thriller
The first bit of the book to me was almost painful. I was considering returning but decided to press on a bit. Glad I did! Reminded me a bit of a Baldacci book but more truthful. Plenty of twists, a little bit of danger, history, theology, plenty of suspense and hard to put down.

Fascinating!
If you are at all interested in puzzles, in esoteric possibilities, and most importantly in solid research that brings a book to an exciting conclusion, you will enjoy this book. It will keep you on your toes following the trail this excellent author leads you on. I loved it, never was sure where it was going next, but thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The ending was perfect.

Quit at Halfway Mark
I started reading Parshall ages ago and found his work captivating. This story seemed to be written by someone else. A first novel attempt, or something! It’s hard to write negative words about a spiritual brother, but I spent eight dollars on this and want to save you the money. Not one character was likable, even the rumpled and wrinkled Uncle who is the only one who understands the subversive danger of the Masons. That part of the book is valid and important, especially given how many pillars of churches are in that secret club. The story was choppy and jerky. I started bookmarking pages that overused the same words but grew tired of it.Reading time is my entertainment happy place, and this one does not make the cut.

Interest captivated
Such a great read and very captivating story line for a summer novel. I plan to read another by this author. I enjoyed as much as I have the better Grisham novels.

These reviews are too much for me to write all this. If you me to comment on anymore buys less wordy.
I do not like the time and effort requested for these comments. If you want a short remark then be satisfied with that or do not expect any comments at all. You gain sales and I end up with the work and time.
