Good product...set up and use appropriately
UPDATE 2: After orientating sand bag and impacting, the sand bag within the Smash Bag settles down to the "bottom". So I flipped the bag so the "bottom" becomes the "impact zone". I believe the sand will settle again and I'll "flip" the bag as needed. Why not fill bag with sand? Too heavy to carry around! UPDATE: I found that taking the sand bag and orientating it so it is on the impact side of the Smash Bag (not on the bottom) it performs much better since the sand has a higher density, yet compresses enough to get the benefit of utilizing an impact bag/smash bag and does a better job keeping the bag in place after impact so you can effectively inspect your swing. It has been mentioned on other sites that you can also use magazines, but I believe sand would be your best option. Again, don't overweigh your bag with sand, keep the weight down to an acceptable level by filling the rest of Smash bag with comforter / towel or like (see below). Note: Did not come with User Guide (indicated User Guide included). Received this a few days ago and wanted to insure it was set up properly prior to use. I got a bag of sand (10 to 15 lbs.) and had this lay on bottom of bag and then took an old comforter (could use pillows) and work it into the bag...take your time. The sand will weigh the bottom and the soft upper will adequately handle club impact. I also did some research with another Swing Plane training program on their use of a "Leverage" / Impact Bag. Bag is construction very well for intended use and there are a few recommendations that I would like to make. Do not use for woods just use for irons. Don't use as a punching bag. Use this Impact Bag to ingrain stable trailing leg, weight shift to lead leg, proper swing path and hand position on impact. Take a swing...impact and hold and review. You can also use this bag and lay it against in inside of your trail leg (against calf) and make sure it does not pull away on backswing and then compressed with calf on downswing...weight transfer...this feeling can then be carry over to hitting practice ball. I found this drill very useful. Again, this is bag is used with drills to pin point problems with swing path (cutting across; outside in) and promote proper swing technique. Good product and worth the price.

GREAT for my swing, durability could be little better
The good news is that the impact bag works! The bad news is, like many others who have posted reviews, my bag split at the bottom seams after only a few minutes of use. I have about a 5-inch opening along the bottom seam now. That’s a bummer but it’s not a huge deal overall. I added some gaffer’s tape to help seal it and it’s fine. I was aware of this based on reviews but didn’t think I hit the bag hard to enough to break a seam. The bummer is the broken seam...but the positive side is that the impact bag REALLY helped me get into the correct impact position and improve the timing of my body on the downswing. I practiced a lot at home and was able to crush the ball at the range. Using the bag really does give that FEEL you’re looking for to get your lower body engaged, get the compression line at impact, and forward shaft lean. I got my wife to start using it too and it helped her swing on day 1. She’s now using more of her body in her swing and generates much more swing speed. Overall, definitely worth the money!

Great! If you're putting holes in it, you're doing it wrong
This is a nice little add to your training routine. I haven't found it to be magical by any stretch, but it's a proven strategy for improving impact position, and the bags pretty much are what they are. So my review is more about the claims that it's not durable than about the value of the aid itself. You're not supposed to just haul off an smash thing thing with a full swing! Doing so is obviously going to put holes in it and probably damage your club shafts and even your joints. This is best used with partial speed swings - just enough to make a nice "thump" while allowing you to pay attention to your positions throughout the swing. Not sure what just wailing on it would really do for you anyway. I filled mine with rubber playground mulch on the bottom 1/4, then just old towels above that. That gave it a little more heft so I'm not chasing it around, and also a little more shape. My guess is bulk sawdust would work really well too. I found when it was filled with just rags that it sort of took on a lumpy shape that made it very hard to use. But soft is good - I'd imagine filling it with rice or birdseed as others have suggested would give it really good shape, but again you're going to have issues with it wearing since there won't be any "give" to it.

Indispensible
I have bounced around between an 11 and 15 index for quite some time and didn't get to play a ton, but decided that this year, I would dedicate time to rebuilding my pretty decent swing into a more "professional quality type swing." To be honest, I was told to get this and was pretty skeptical. I had used one in the past at a clinic for a bit, but not only did I not like it, but it hurt me. Now that I have been working with a more proper swing, and lightened up the bag a bit.... it finally clicked. If you start hitting this thing with the proper impact, it is amazing. It truly made the whole impact position make so much more sense, to me. It has transformed my swing in a very short time. I obviously can't say it will work for everyone, but I hope it will do for you what it did for me... Since I have been learning from this site and they told me how crucial the impact bag is and I kind of feel bad that I didn't buy it from them, I'll throw in a little plug (I don't know if I'm even "allowed" to do this...no financial incentive whatsoever!!), but [...] is where I have been "taking lessons" and it is worth every penny.

Waste of money! Beware!
This bag is a massive waste of money. We bought one, and within a week it split open. Returned and got a replacement, and within 3 weeks, it did the same. Keep in mind, it is my 9 year old son that is using it. If a grown man was using it I doubt it would survive one day. Very disappointed and now it will not allow me to receive a refund.

The sound is a bit loud for an apartment building, and the smell of rubber not very nice. But the latter will diminish with time, the first one hopefully increases ;) And could hide all the too large and small golf clothes inside…

Idén är jättebra med hur positionen skall kännas vid bollträff. Utan att ta i upplevde jag att sömmarna släppte ganska snart efter att ha börjat använda den
