It is difficult to rate this product fairly because you can't really use it until you need it. I can tell you that the videos show this to be very effective at extinguishing different types of fires. I ordered the 4 pack to have one in the kitchen, near the grills and smokers, in my work shop and at my cabin. Two things that did stand out to me were that the case that each comes in is very heavy duty and seems sturdy. The blankets themselves probably weigh about 3 or 4 pounds each so they are pretty dense glass fiber weave which should be pretty effective putting out a fire. I have not hung them by the enclosed hooks yet but I would be surprised if the adhesive on the back of the hooks will support the weight for very long. The hooks themselves are heavy duty metal but the adhesive is a 3M foam strip on the back. There are no holes in the hooks to be able to screw them to a surface for sturdier hanging. I would recommended buying other hooks that have holes to use screws, if possible.

blanket is fine - the pull cords are great. I was bummed that, although this comes with a hook (adhesive) to hang it with, the hook only held the weight for less than 5 minutes. I would have been fine to find my own hook in the first place. This put a blemish on an otherwise fine product.

Just hangs up on any hook and then easy to pull out if you need it. May be the difference between keeping it as a small fire and something that gets big.

Great size and value! With hopes of never having to use them it's a must have in every household.Would make for a wonderful wedding shower, housewarming etc. gift.
