I've tried them all, even the ones that work the same way as Harrows Repointer. BUT none work as well or last as long. Harrows Repointer is the smoothest working repointer you can buy. The tools are longer and easier to use. Similar repointers work tight, stiff, with small tools that make them more difficult to use. Just pay the extra $10 bucks and get the best... Harrows Repointer!

Bought this tool for my local bar. The tool is stout and nice looking but the threads do not hold up well. After about the 10th dart the thread in the point holder started to fail and strip out

Worked on the 1st dart second dart wouldn't, when I unscrewed it saw this. Not sure if there is a way to fix it? Not sure if it was defective, but pretty sure it's not supposed to do this.

After reading the product reviews I determined it would be beneficial to take great care with the amount of force used when tightening and loosening the repointing tool. The technique used is more important than strength or force. Practicing your repointing technique with some old, used, or beat up darts is helpful before working on any darts of value. The tool works perfectly when used properly and it should last a long time.

I bought this repointing tool in December 2022. It is now Feb 2023 and I've already replaced this tool because of a failure. The threaded stud where one attaches the dart barrel has stripped to a degree that many dart barrels simply will not work with the tool any longer. I used this tool a lot in the short time I've had it. When the tool failed, I had probably repointed more than a dozen sets easily. It was fun trying different points on different darts. Toward the end, I noticed a bit of play when attaching the barrels. That was the first red flag. Also, I should explain to those who haven't done this, this process exerts shear forces along the threads using simple push/pull mechanics, so the tool's threaded stud is a point of potential high failure. For the price, it would be better if the owner could replace just the threaded stud or any other piece of this tool from the manufacturer as a cheaper alternative.

Brilliant bit of kit so easy to use I bought a cheaper one but was rubbish it bent and screw threads went 1st use THIS one is so strong did my darts in 5 mins no issues well worth the extra money
