Stetson& Dobbs TSLIMS-2030 Men's Limestone Outback Western Hat

I sampled literally dozens of straw hats before our (photo) safari to Africa. I didn't want something too refined or expensive as I knew I would be hard on it traveling to and fro and hopping in and out of Jeeps and small airplanes. I also didn't want it to look like a cowboy hat. This hat checked all the boxes. Looks great; held up great. Came back looking as good a s new. The only issue is sizing. I'm a perfect size 59 (aka 7 3/8), which is size Large per Stetson. But this hat hits small so I needed to order a size XL, so I don't recommend this hat for larger heads. Also, important to note that there is a canvas backing under the front brim and inside the crown. Would prefer there not to be backing under the brim, but I'll admit it makes the hat hold up great to wear and tear without losing shape.

I owne one of these hats now and love it. Normally Stetson puts their hats in a protective hat box. This one came in a plastic bag and flat box. It was crushed beyond hope in shipping. I would never order another hat through Amazon.

Stetson is the best.

Hat fits well and was shipped in a large box with no damage

A little large but I'm sure one size smaller would have been tight. I can make this work.
