Q: Is this made from grass-fed beef?

Our Bone Broth Protein is made with chickens, not with beef. Bone Broth Protein is sourced exclusively from US farms in the Midwest. Due to the multiple farm sources, there is currently not a free range standard for our product. We are working aggressively to establish and verify Animal Wellness Certification standards throughout our entire supply chain. We do offer Organic Bone Broth Protein for those interested in organic.

Q: Are the chickens pastured? fed any gmo supplemental foods?

As of March 2017 I cannot see anywhere on the website where it says it is from free range (if that really means anything) or grass fed chicken. I am not sure where the person that found the comment about the bones being U.S. sourced and free range in October 2016 but I agree with Mike - if these chickens were grass fed it would be all over the place. The container itself says "non-gmo" and "grain free" but that is just talking about the powder ingredients (i.e. they did not add gmo products or grains to the powder after processing) not that the animals were fed non-gmo grains or are grain free.

Q: I thought benefits were supposed to be from beef broth...so then, what are the health benefits of chicken broth?

Both broth has been made from beef, chicken, fish, lamb, turkey, goose, pork and more. Each variety will have its own nutrient profile. It will also depend on the quality or bones (or other parts) used. You'd have to do an online search to get the specific differences. I would say that a variety of different kinds of bone broths would be the most beneficial. The most attractive feature of the Bone Broth Protein in the convenience, cost per serving and taste. Carbohydrates are one of the 14 mandatory nutrients that must be listed on the label, if there is a significant amount. The fact that it is not on the label, means that there would be less than 0.5 grams per serving.

Inedible Inconsistent flavor

The product has a totally inconsistent flavor. I've ordered this same product 3 times and twice it's been a burned/roasted bitter taste and brown color. Once it's been white and vanilla and tastes creamy. Exact same "Pure" packaging and no flavor labelling indicators
