A real IQ killer
What should have been a real fast solution, dragged on into more than an hour of frustration. When I finally gave up and set the puzzle down, the cat came over and with one deft blow, separated the keys. Very entertaining puzzle, especially when you watch someone else try to separate the keys. Have as yet to get the cat to explain how she separated the keys!

Easy and Durable "Tinker" Puzzle
I am a puzzle addict. I own numerous puzzles and puzzle boxes (some that take 60 minutes to open), in addition of doing doing 24 escape room games.I love Hanayama puzzles and this is no exception. I didn't buy this one for so long since it was a very low difficulty and I like the harder puzzles. I figured why not?I am glad I did, this puzzle is as we expect from Hanayama puzzles. It is well made, crafted strong, very durable, and feels very solid. This puzzle is made to last and feel good in your hands. I just love the feel and the sounds that cast iron make.As this is a level 1 puzzle, you expect it to be easy, which it is. I love the amount of moves you need to make, more then I was expecting!Overall it took me about a minute or less to solve, my 9 year old took him under 2 minutes, and my 12 and 13 year old took around 3 minutes. No hints taken or given. This is a perfect gift, conversation starter, or something to do at work while reading documents/emails. I love buying these for white elephant Christmas exchanges. Everyone likes these! Highly recommend!

Perfect little puzzle, the first one I show to friends
To me, this is kind of the perfect Hanayama puzzle. It's the one I always show people first. It's, basically, "simple." Yet it takes a surprising number of "moves" to separate the two keys. It's also the puzzle I get people if I think I'm buying them their first puzzle. (if I think they are already pretty good at puzzles, I am more likely to get them Cast Gear, or even Cast Chain.)I would recommend any of these puzzles. They are all solvable through intelligence without a lot of wiggle factor. All of the puzzles' affordances are visible (unlike the more difficult Key puzzle, or Cast Elk, where all the parts look the same, but a couple are subtly, invisibly thinner, and you have to kind of hunt for them by feel and by trial and error).Cast Key, Cast Gear and Cast Chain are a few of my favorites, because they all feel very "fair."

Classic Level 1 Puzzle
Took about 30 seconds to complete since the solution is a simpler version of Key 2.That's by design, so can't complain that a level 1 puzzle was easy. Just FYI if you already have that one.I would recommend doing Key 2 first though, so that you get a bit more out of that one.Bought mostly just to round out my collection, but this will also make a fund prop for D&D campaigns.
