Can you use regular bubble solution, or do you need the kind that comes with the kit?

I tried multiple DIY recipes on line.  None worked as well as the solution that comes with the kit.  Spend the money for the real deal. Worth it.

does this require dish soap in addition to water and concentrate?

No dish soap is required (-:  
Just add water! Tap water is fine. 
The kit comes with 2 concentrate pouches = hours of fun.  For each pouch, add 1 quart of water.

Yes, South Beach Bubbles support Autism Awareness! 
From the inception of our business, we searched for a cause that represented our experiences, background, and product. We wanted to give back to our community and we chose Autism Awareness as both owners have personal family members with severely autistic children. Watching these beautiful children try out our prototypes made it abundantly clear that the product itself facilitated both happiness and confidence among the children. Our WOWmazing Wands have been well received within the autism community because it is a quiet toy, helps with gross motor skills and making BIG bubbles gives children a sense of accomplishment. One of the most exciting features of our WOWmazing products is that they cater to all children and all abilities.

In support of Autism, we seek out local foundations such as Autism Speaks and the Dan Marino Foundation among many others to offer both our product and more importantly our time. We frequently help facilitate these events so our efforts are not only seen in the product itself but behind the scenes as well. Cultivating these relationships and supporting our community are some of the many principles our company was founded upon and of which we are quite proud!
