Roof Rack Rooftop Cargo Basket for 2019-2025 Toyota RAV4 Cargo Carrier Luggage Cargo Racks (Not Fit Models for Adventure/TRD Off-Road)

I’m someone who generally enjoys putting things together and this was a major struggle. The stress it took getting it assembled should really merit a 1-star rating but the supplier was very responsive in helping me resolve the issues. I recommend assembling it, screwing everything together loosely but leaving the plastic covers off and then sending a picture of your work to ANTS PARTS before trying to put it on your vehicle to make sure you assembled it correctly. If something doesn’t seem to be going together right, send the seller a picture and ask for help. It will save you a lot of frustration'. They respond quickly at night if you’re on CDT. I also recommend putting some kind of lubricant on the aluminum tubes before putting them together because it’s hard, the fit is really tight. I used WD40. When attaching the front plastic foot, check how far in the hole is. One of mine had the hole cut too far in and it was quite a struggle putting it together. It should only be 1/2” in. I also recommend taping the square washer into the foot so it doesn’t fall out when you try to assemble it.I have a 2021 RAV4 hybrid xle and it fit fine (once it was constructed correctly). To remove the plastic covers from the roof rail, there are 2 clips on the long side, I have a plastic tool specifically made for unclipping car parts that I used to press the clips in and pry it up. It’s called a trim removal tool, you need one with a flat edge instead of a pronged edge.

Good product, very sturdy and looks great on the RAV4. The instructions are terrible. My advice is to attached the sides to the vehicle loosely then put the rest together, including the back piece. It only fits on one way. Even thought the instructions say that, there is really no way to tell.

The media could not be loaded. I looked a while for a rack that would be basket, match my ladder and running boards, and would connect directly to my roof rails. This checked off all boxes. It had the bonus of also keeping the view of my moon roof open. I was nervous to buy this, but spoke with the company via email first, and decided to be the first to try and review it.Shipping was fast. It was well packaged.I had all parts I needed as well as some directions.The directions were lacking, but I was able to figure things out by looking at the photos a lot. There is a few very important things you need to know that the directions don’t say. You MUST make sure the rear piece has the wider tube UP and the smaller tube DOWN. I added a picture of the correct way. There is no info or stickers about this. I accidentally installed this piece upside down and the entire thing was mis aligned. Another thing is that the brackets that connect the sides to the rear piece should be taken off completely and the new bolts installed. They don’t look shorter but they are. This will also give you an idea on how to adjust (wiggle room is important) Also, the cross bars are different sizes. Save the headache and lay them out. The shorter one should go towards the rear of the car. This can cause aggravation if you didn’t realize it like myself. While you can build and then install, If you are having a lot of trouble this can actually be build ONTO the car itself, so you line up the feet and bolt down first then add the rear piece to ensure fit. A little harder but an option. Take your time with instructions. They tried to word it right but it’s difficult to understand. Use the photos online and pictures as best you can.While I was having trouble due to upside down piece the company did respond quickly to emails. I was satisfied with their response to me.Once installed it’s solid. It looks sharp. I love it!!! This was exactly what I wanted! I’m glad I decided to give this a try. I’m very satisfied with this purchase. I will update my review in a month or so after some use.
