Actually, 5 mm=5mm/25.4mm/inch=0.1968 inches (rounding up). These are not 5mm thick. Also, the mm does not apply to length and width. By caliper the thickness is a little over 6 mm, or very close to 1/4" (1/4" = 6.096mm). The panels are ~12x24", the width varies a little from one end of the panel to the other by about 1/32". One panel was not 12" wide at any point.
