Initially I thought this touch wasn't bad at all for the price - the only two downsides are that I'm not fully comfortable on how water proof this would be in a strong downpour (not submersing it) and that it isn't possible to switch the light on immediately in red light mode, without first having "converted" it to red light mode before switching it off - other than that it's actually a very good torch for the price.However as I write this it is now July 2017 and this torch has seen VERY light use - I haven't used it out and about - just at home for looking under the sink etc - to put this into context I've had to change the batteries 5 to 6 times max - and the plastic tab that holds the battery cover in place has already broken off. Whilst this doesn't affect the usability of the torch day to day, it has lost any kind of waterproofing ability it did have as the battery cover springs open.I will now be testing out LED Lenser's aftersales service - wish me luck

Great head torch . I now own 5 of these as they are good quality and have a twist and zoom lens so you can pinpoint things at 80 yards quite easily providing you use quality Duracel batteries.They used to make a very similar one that does not zoom so make sure its the right one before you order as I made the mistake once.

Great headtorch. I have the green one so I bought this one for my dad. I use mine for running and it's perfect, it doesn't bounce around or slip while I'm running. It's very bright too! I have no trouble at all seeing potholes or dips in the road while I'm running, it's so bright I have to angle my face away from people walking towards me in case I dazzle them with the headtorch. My dad has only used his once for walking so far but he pretty much agrees. Definitely recommend

Perfect for nighttime photography. the red light makes it so much easier to see the settings on your camera without destroying the night vision your eyes have built up.Powerful main torch, which could be used for light painting at a pinch but does suffer from a halo effect from the housing, so beam may light areas you didn't want illuminated.

I bought one of these for working in confined spaces. I've also used it for night hiking. In both cases I've managed to provoke head torch envy from friends and colleagues. Very light weight and very bright. If I have to find fault it doesn't feel particularly robust. I wouldn't use it for caving in case I whacked it on a rock and I was left in the dark. But if you just need a good head torch, this is the kit.
