As many other reviewers have noted, this is a well-made, lovely, little box. The one I received was predominantly a dark brown with purply undertone, with some beige speckling. The first picture is closest to what the shade was in real life. The other pictures got washed out in the sunlight, but I'm including them so you can see the detail of the workmanship.

I would have given 4 star if the crack was not there. And it is joined with quickfix. Photo attached.

This box is really beautiful. I gave it to a relative for Christmas and she absolutely loved it. As others have mentioned it's more of a light brown color. I don't see any pink undertones but it's very lovely nonetheless. There are no flaws on the one I got. The finish is smooth and the carvings look so pretty. Just a warning though, soapstone has some weight to it so you have to be careful putting the lid down. It will drop hard & clank against the bottom piece if you don't take care. (This happened a couple times on the one I bought and it didn't break, but i'm guessing that over time it could.)
