Once Upon a Wild Wood

Fantastic book with awesome illustrations & good quality.

Chris Riddell is one of my favorite authors and his illustrations are amazing!!! I've given many of his books to my boyfriend's daughter and granddaughters. The Goth Girl and Ottoline books are fun, I've read them all!! I highly recommend any book with his name on it!!

This is a charming tale featuring lots of well known fairytale characters, but told in a completely unique way. Many of them have personality transplants, and none of their stories echo the familiar tales we're use to. The illustrations are delightful and the way the author has entwined everyone's story together is very clever.I think this would appeal to youngsters as young as 3 right up to 7/8 year olds who still love the magic of a well-told fairytale.

My 5 year old loves this book we talk about and try to remember the associated stories and he is absolutely fascinated by it.

Bought this beautiful book for my 3-year-old great-granddaughter who loves it so much. As always, Chris Riddell is a genius. Love his work!
